Much better than bamboo skewers!

I've been using bamboo skewers for decades, silly me. These are far, far better. Where have they been all my life? (Sitting in the warehouse at Amazon, apparently.) Their flat surface prevents items from simply twirling around when you flip the skewer and the loop at the top provides a good handle for flipping the skewer.

Good skewers

These are easy to load with chunks of meats or vegetables. They are flat do that is nice so the food doesn’t spin when turning the skewers while grilling.

High quality, reasonably sturdy stainless

These made in Italy skewers were promptly delivered and are reasonably sturdy. They clean up well in the dishwasher. I do wish they were a bit thicker. I would buy these again if I ever needed more.

Great for impaling your soon to be grilled dinner

The flat shape makes it easy to turn food. The pointy part is very sharp! (Don't hurt yourself!) The circle part at the end is easy to grab with a pair of tongs to turn, when necessary. (Note, don't be an idiot like me and accidentally grab it when you are putting it on your plate. These stay hot for a while.) I really like these and use them all the time.

Inconsistent Quality

Out of the 3 sets I purchased (18 total skewers), 5 of them had what appeared to be a poor weld or machining damage at the looped end. This caused the loop to break off with very little force. Thankfully, I intended to shorten them anyway, but there is a large variation in the quality of the product.

BBQ Must have!

Well made. Clean up in the dishwasher. Flat blade means easy flipping/turning on the grill. Juts a great simple product.

Great for cooking hotdogs

I bought these years ago for myself then as presents. These and the 14" size are great. If you have kids and need to cook a large number of hotdogs just get 2 each 12" or 14" skewers and pierce the hotdog with the 2 skewers close to the ends of the hotdog. Slide the hotdog down the skewers and keep adding until the skewers are full. This is a fast way to handle and cook a large number of hotdogs for a kid's party.

easy cleanup!

I like the fact they are flat so food does not turn while cooking. Thin enough to easily slide food on. They clean up like new.
