Seems like good wheel, negligible difference between their "wide face" and "narrow face" wheels

Seems like a decent wheel. I ordered one of these 72752 "wide face" wheels and one of their 72750 "narrow face" wheels, as I thought a wide and a narrow would be useful. The difference between a wide and a narrow is so little, you can't tell them apart. Se the picture I attached of both of them laying side-by-side. I confirmed this by contacting Forney customer service. They responded quite promptly and said this: "I took your question to the Product Line Manager who confirmed that one is just slightly thicker than the other. What makes a noticeable difference is when you squeeze the wires, the wide-face wheel should feel denser. Also, she said you’ll notice a difference once you start using the wheel."

Buy it!!

Bought one and it was out of balance. Notified Forney and a replacement was sent right out. They take care of their customers unlike others today. Seems to be a forgotten part of business. Thanks Forney.....I still deducted a star because its china made. Bring our jobs home please...

Chuck's wires constantly

I read reviews before buying. What sold me was that this wire wheel didn't throw wires. Since I've used it (twice) it tosses(looses) wires constantly. I'll order another brand. It's rated 6000 rpm and my bench grinder runs at 3450 rpm. Shouldn't be doing this. My old wire wheel would toss a wire occasionally, but its had years of sevice.

Throws wires

Wear good gloves, full shirt and FULL face protection or you will wish you had. I use this for light duty polishing of bolts and other hardware. It sheds wires every time I use it. Works well, but please use full face protection.

Wire is bound more securely

Got tired of other brands that fling off strands continually. This one seems to hold on tighter, longer. Will buy again. Application: Getting brake calipers ready for painting.

Nice quality, does what it should

Seeing as it's made in china I was apprehensive when buying it, but it works better than expected, got right into the garage and put it to work and no complaints, no flying wires or other problems

Works great, very happy with new wheel

I've been using new wide 6" brush wheel for a couple weeks now on a Delta grinder. I do not think any wires have come loose yet. Very happy with it and would recommend it.
