Certified, so I know this filters out what it's supposed to

It costs more than the non-certified filters. But what is the point of a water filter if you can't be sure it's filtering out the bad stuff?

Best refrigerator filter I have used!!

I have used the name brand filter for my (LG) refrigerator and another brand sold here on Amazon, but this Philips filter is by far the best I've found. It all but eliminates the chlorine taste from tap water, something that no other filter I have used has ever done; something the manufacturers filter could not do. Will definitely reorder!! UPDATE: every week for the entire month of March our city water utility adds double the chlorine in the water. This filter still takes out every bit of the taste. Again, best filter for us and this refrigerator

Perfect for my GE

Water tasted great and it has the same protection from chemicals that the GE filter has for a fraction of the cost.

Good value for it's cost but filter didn't even last 2 months

I had tried one of these installed to replace my whirlpool filter. Followed instructions when installing and water came out fresh and don't have any aftertaste. However, filter didn't even last a month or two of used and my ref sensor already telling me to replace it. I have a Berkeley filter, so we are not relying only to water from our refrigerator, gets little use but mostly for ice when needed and sometimes just for cold water. I have yet to use the second filter and will update reviews and will test water for contamination using the TDS tester soon.

The filters fit my Maytag fridge and work perfect. They are a great value.

Works great as a GE MWF replacement water filter for my refrigerator. Better value than buying the branded product directly from the GE site. I'm glad amazon had this product available!
