I purchased this model from Amazon warehouse as a "Like New" condition item, which I don't mind doing because it's not intended to be a collector's piece. The item arrived in "Poor" condition, with the rear wheels completely off of the vehicle and no axle to attach them to. The box had clearly been opened (as I would expect), but all of the interior packaging was still intact. The issue with the wheels appears to be a manufacturers mistake, not one of handling. Because of the damage, I returned it within an hour of receiving it. Very disappointed in the condition assessment from Amazon. The model is well detailed at first look, and is generally a nice representation of the Fast & Furious car. The pedals are painted, and it has a nice initial appearance. Spending about 2 minutes looking at it, you can see that there are multiple quality issues that become difficult to overlook. The first is with the design, which is clearly not 1:24 scale, but more like 1:20 scale. It looks as though Jada designed around car length and built to that scale, rather than going for actual correct scale representation. That's my guess, based on comparing it to models from other manufacturers that all appear to be similar scale. The box says nothing about the scale, but the Amazon listing and Jada's website both explicitly state that it's 1:24, and they're very wrong about that. It looks ridiculous when displayed next to actual 1:24 models - it's the same length as a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner, even though the real Road Runner is 204 inches long and the real Mazda RX-7 is only 168 inches long. With almost 40 inches of difference in real size, at 1:24 scale the RX-7 should be nearly 2 inches shorter, not the same actual length. This isn't even close. Next, the fitment of the moving parts isn't great. One of the doors is noticeably higher than the other and protrudes above the hood line. The door gaps aren't consistent on both doors and are wider at different points along the door line. Likewise with the hood, which doesn't lie flat when it's closed, will pop back up to leave a gap after you close it. Finally, the last quality issue is with the paint. Unlike most diecast models in this price range, this model isn't painted inside the doors and other openings. Instead, there's just overspray there, which leaves the model looking cheaply made and maybe unfinished. This is not normal for cars in this price range, and is more consistent with cars at the $6 price range and below, typically much smaller 1:43 and 1:64 cars. This is not a car for a collector of diecast cars, especially if you intend to show it near other 1:24 scale cars or display it with the doors or hood open. While the car isn't really much of a display car, it should be fine for a child's play toy if you can find it for around $10.
