It's heavy and it heats slowly

I knew I was buying cast iron so I can't complain about the weight, but it's still something you need to consider. This is not a small wok, and it's heavy. What did surprise me was how little of this wok actually touches my induction burner. The flat place is only about four inches across, and maybe it's my imagination but it seems like this wok takes a long time to heat up, and even when it does it seems not to get as hot as my other cast iron pieces. There is nothing wrong with the wok. It's a heavy piece of cast iron and it cooks about as I expected it to. It looks nice, too. I just have to turn the heat up a little more than I expected, and it's every bit as heavy as I expected it to be. If I were looking for another wok I think I would pay more attention to the size of the bottom plate, and since I'm cooking for one I might want to buy one a little bit smaller.

Love this thing!

I am a stir fryer with traditional wok experience. I bought this beauty for deep frying and to have a smaller wok. I also wanted the ultimate camping iron, this and a tortilla skillet and you do it all even some Dutch oven type stuff. This IS a round bottom inside and flat bottom outside. Best of both worlds IMHO. Sits super solid, won’t budge when doing light scooping and it sits perfectly on my little 7” Gas One butane stove. Not going to fall. This is a Lodge knock off but a pretty good one, the handle casting is more crude but the integrity is good. A 12” wok lid or glass lid works great. I use a 14” dome wok lid resting on (flat) top lip perfectly and let it drip on the outside which works for me fine for outdoor cooking. Wish I bought this years ago.

Excellent value, heavy duty pan, good quality, very heavy

I used this pan for a stir fry. It’s nice and heavy……heavier than expected so you need to be careful picking it up
