Great for fun, singing and acting

Great support. Wore them right away for a role in a play. I could not figure out what type of socks to wear so that the toe box would be as comfortable as the rest of the boot.

Fits a little small

I usually wear a 6.5 but like my shoes a little roomy. I purchased a 7. The 7 fits like a 6.5... buy a whole size bigger. Cute shoe. Wished they made these in genuine leather...

just what I expected

Got these for a 1920's party. They are comfortable and perfect for my costume. They are not the best quality. I always wear a size 9 but needed a 10 (which fit fine but have to wear a thicker sock). 9 ½ would have been perfect.

Not for people with narrow feet

I fell while walking in these booties. I still love them and I am keeping them. I am just going to have to find a way to give my feet more support, such as extra socks and be more careful when stepping down off curbs. I am 57 and my ankles are weak anyway due to health reasons. They look really good with jeans and skirts, whatever you want to wear them with. If you have a slim ankle, they will not hug it. Goes again to support for narrow legged people. I will find cute fill-ins for that area. If you are like me with problem ankles, I would not risk getting these because of the heels on them and lack of support. If your ankles and calves are strong, you will enjoy these boots very much. I also think the boots are good quality. One only had a mild scuff mark from my fall. The boots faired much better than I did. ???? I recommend these boots for people with medium to wide feet. If you have narrow feet, be prepared to have to fill in the boot to have a more snug fit. It would be nice if this boot came in 1/2 sizes. I went up a size and it was a half size to much.

Will work for Victorian/Edwardian era dress-up

I like these boots. ???? They run a tad small- if you’re between sizes, definitely size up. If you have short toes and sturdy ankles/calves, this is the best you can hope for, when it comes to Victorian style boots, short of having a pair custom made. If you have long toes and slim ankles/calves, these boots will not fit you right (or at all- not much room in the toe box). Wear black socks with these, as there is some dye transfer. They are synthetic, but they look and feel like mid-range leather. They have a faint polyurethane scent, but not bad at all. Rounded toe, medium width, comfortable heel height. Best feature is the sculpted “granny heel”, so they look best from the side, rather than from the top. I do recommend them, if your foot and ankle/calf fits the right parameters for this boot.:) Please note they do have a zipper, which is a manner of closure not invented until 1914, and therefore not available to the public until after the Victorian/Edwardian era, but it isn’t easy to notice it under the long skirts of that period style.

Order a size up

Cute shoes with Victorian styling. But I would order a full size up. Wanted to keep them but they were so small and the larger was out of stock.

SMALLER SHOESIZE! Purchase one size larger!

The media could not be loaded. I'm a US 5~5.5, and bought a 6, this certainly feel like 5 to me. Usually when I buy a 6, I can put in a sole and then wear thick fluffy socks, but for this one I can only wear thin socks. So do purchase at least 1 size larger. It's not uncomfortable, but the arch doesn't fit my feet well, which is acceptable since the heel isn't high. The ankle part isn't as slim as a real Victorian shoe would be(making it look kind of clumsy or funny from some angles) but I guess without a really soft leather this is good for the comfortability. Works really well for my daily outfit! very simple, elegant and gothic, I love the hourglass heels. Overall a happy purchase!

Great little boots

Bought these boots for a Victorian costume and they were perfect! I wore them all night for Halloween in New Orleans and they were so comfortable. I’ve also worn them to work and another event with no problems or sore feet.

Loved the look of the boots but ordered a US 7 which should be equivalent to UK 5 but they are so tiny, I doubt they'd fit a UK size 4. Sadly sending them back.
