Hard to find fat quarters of recommended fabric

Pattern is easy to follow. Fabric in required amounts is difficult to find. One either must order yardage on line (minimum 1 to 2 yards required from most sellers, obviously too much) or must opt for buying yardage in colorways that one picks out at a local store. Fabric requirements are given in fat quarters. Pattern should include yardage requirements, such as "1/4 yard" or "1/8 yard."
