FEWER OPTIONS AND CONFIGURATIONS

I'll start with the cons since I could only give it 3 stars. CONS: -The #3 Philips is made with a larger diameter than the other bits so it won't fit in the handle and will only fit in one end of the reversible bit receiver. So, if you are planning to have your 2 favorite bits such that you just have to flip over the receiver, unless one of those is a #3 Philips driver, you'll have to figure something else out. -The bits themselves are pretty long, over 2 inches, many companies will make these double-sided to increase your tool options but these are only single-sided. That 8 fewer tool options you could have on this driver. -The tool is long about 9 inches with no way to really reduce that length for any of the screwdriver bit uses. -As you are using the driver, especially in ratchet mode, if your palm is on the end of the handle you will start to spin off the cap holding the other bits. I've seen this on about every other similar tool. It's disappointing Crescent couldn't come up with a novel solution. -The bit holder cap can strip if you're not careful. -The dial that changes the driver to ratchet function is too smooth, it does have some nubs but they are too shallow to give you a good purchase to change from right turning->to fixed->left turning without your fingers slipping a little. It just needs a mm or 2 more height on the nubs. PROs: -3 Hex driver options -Handle and tool body feels well-made with steel at the tool end and heavy-duty plastics and a nice rubber handle at the holding end. -The bits themselves seem to be of good quality. Overall, I wouldn't buy another one nor recommend it to anyone unless there were no other available options. This is a shame for the quality of construction it just has too many limitations.

It worked…at first

When you put enough stress on it to actually listen screws in a real world application, the ratcheting gear strips out and makes this a very handy paper weight. Good luck with yours.

Great tool the tool ???? box or junk drawer

Handy in the tool box ???? and junk drawer if you need 1 in house. I have mine in the tinkering shop to do quick fix repairs. If you need to fix around the house or just need a ratcheting screwdriver in your tool box or kit this is great for that

Good screwdriver

I needed to replace a Crescent ratcheting screw driver I've owned for probably a couple of decades that finally stopped ratcheting. This is the newest version of that screw driver so I bought it. Works like it should!
