CONVENIENT FOR PET HAIR BUT SHORT LIFE SPAN
Works well enough for pet hair on hardwood floor and light rugs but life span is short. Ordered a replacement recently and had to return it because it will not charge. Amazon products arrive damaged or otherwise unusable about a third of the time. Decided to use my broom.

Great lightweight vacuum
My sister has one of these and she said how well it worked so I got one. It’s so handy to use without the hassle of a long cord and it works well. It’s especially nice to use in the kitchen after supper. I also like it because I have arthritis in my hands.

Light weight
This has a lot of suction power, and it is easy to maneuver. The only problem is that I have medium length hair that falls out all over the place for some reason, and you do have to pull it out of the rollers; however, the roller is so easy to remove. I have all beautiful tile throughout my house with only a couple of throw rugs. It works well for both. Nice value!

Wish My Old Eureka Model Was Still Available
Bought this to replace an old Eureka cordless stick vac. It had good suction, a removable battery (so you could just pop out the drained battery and pop in a backup), a decent rotating brush, a removable stick handle which made the rest of the unit easy to navigate stairs, and a bin which was easy to pop out, dump and pop back in. After a number of years, the belt driving the brush wore out and it's practically impossible to replace. So I had to finally part with it. This Dirt Devil unit is functional. But it can't really be used on stairs because it's too long and cumbersome. The battery life is decent but, once it's drained, you're done until you wait for it to recharge. It has a "feature" that will cause it to be able to stand on its own. But it's more of a nuisance because, if you're vacuuming in a tight space and need to position the unit more upright, this "feature" will cause the front of the unit to lift off the floor and you need to bend over (or use your foot) to push it back down so that it will continue to vacuum. And its suction power is not as good as my old Eureka - possibly because it uses a thick foam filter that significantly reduces airflow (IMO, poor design because this unit is intended for quick and easy pickup of hair, fibers, and other large particles on the floor - not fine or ultrafine particles).

I originally purchased it to sweep my kitchen and bathroom. I use it on all my floors. My home is 1500 square feet, and this has been the primary vacuum for the last year. Maintenance is required for most things! This is NORMAL. People just don't talk about it. I'm not most people. If you fail to maintain its upkeep, you will be unhappy. The required maintenance is fairly simple. You dump the canister. Sometimes the foam filter needs washed. The gizmo in the canister will get clogged with grass, hair, fur, and carpet fibers. You just pull it out. You will also need to clean the beater bar. Again, this is simple. The bar comes out easily. Cut the hair with scissors, then pull it free of the bristles. The last bit of maintenance is more complicated. You must remove the "head" of the vacuum. This is hard to do. Even my husband struggles with removing the head. After the head is off, you need to run a pipe cleaner through the inside of the body. The first time I did it, I needed 3 passes to ensure it was clean. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. Update: Stick vac was purchased November 4,2021. As of April 5, it's basically dead. The beater bar won't rotate. I removed and cleaned the beater bar. I called the manufacturer and was placed in a callback line. It's been nearly 26 hours with no callback. During that time, I tried their "chat" feature and it wouldn't connect. I tried sending a message, and have not heard back. There has been ZERO customer support. This was a very good product.... until the beater bar stopped working. It was collecting cat hair! That hadn't been an expectation. It will still suck up dust. I've not tried it on the hard floors. I will be replacing it with something from a company that has a customer service department that actually services the customer.

Small but mighty
This has been perfect for my hardwood floors and kitchen. Light weight and easy to carry. Great for everyday “sweep” of dog hair. ????

Small but mighty!
My friend bought this vacuum and I used it to vacuum her home for her. I fell in love. My mother decided she wanted one and she was so sweet and bought me one also. This vacuum is small but mighty. It picks up everything so far. It goes underneath thing's so easy. Very lightweight which is wonderful as I am getting older and will be another year older tomorrow so each year it's getting harder to do things. Size does matter when you get older and this vacuum is the perfect size. Works great on stairs because it's so small and lightweight. Suction is wonderful. Everyone has their own opinion on item's and this is mine. I can only tell you how great it works for me. I would highly recommend.

Great tool for any home; wears out in a year.
We use this everyday. We have a combination of rug and vinyl in the house and the sweeper works well on both. and we would not be without one for life. However, I've had to buy 3 in 4 years. The sweeper clogs easily and taking the guts apart to clean wears on the contacts to the head (brush part) and causes loss of power to the brush. The mechanism to mate the vacuum to the brush is flimsy plastic tabs that break with repeated removal of the brush head, resulting in no power to the brush because of bad connection. Not fixable that I can see. Still, when working, the sweeper is a necessity around the house. My mate is handicapped and our regular vacuum is to bulky and heavy for her. This sweeper works almost as well and much easier to use.

I will never buy a corded vacuum again!
This is a great little machine. Perfect for smaller living spaces. Charging takes a couple hours, but the convenience of just being able to grab it and not having to worry about plugging it in and out repeatedly is priceless. Pros: - cordless! - lightweight - easy to maneuver - pretty good suction power Cons: - on "turbo" setting, it only runs for about 10 minutes - have to clean the brush after every time; hairs get tangled in there something bad

It's all right
It does a decent job, but have to go through my cat's room several times - it does not pick up everything on the first or even second time - the power is pretty weak. UPDATE: (March 12) Originally marked it as 3 stars. Updating to one star due to it being broken after 9 months of normal use - the vacuum simply stopped charging. Totally useless now.

Great for apartment & condo life
It’s a great vacuum for the price. Its suction is good for carpets. I needed a vacuum to clean up my 2 parrots dust/mess on a daily basis and it does it just perfectly, it’s very convenient, easy to charge and lightweight. Highly recommend!

What a great time save
Even though my apartment is not large, most vacuum cleaners are heavy to lug around and time consuming. This Dirt Devil is the exact opposite. No longer is vacuuming a hateful chore. I keep my place so much cleaner now.
