I Like It

There are things I like and things I don't like about tis lamp. PRO: Looks good in my kitchen. Gives out a good amount of light. It took a while for delivery but it was weel packed with nothing broken and no missing parts. CON: Not so easy to install. It is a 2 person job. One has to hold the fixture while the other does the wiring. A third might be necessary to hold the flashlight. Be sure to make a template for the mounting screws. One should have been included my the manufacturer. The color is 3000K which is a yellow-orange light. I prefer 4000-5000 bright white for my kitchen. At this price ($120) there should be a color selector. Cheaper lights have them. It is not as bright as I would like either, about 3000 lumens, which is bright, but it is my kitchen and I like a lot of light. Overall, I'm satisfied for now. This is a complete remodel and I have been looking for months. I think I have enough task lighting for work areas.

Light looks great but it's a lot brighter than a 3000K light. I think it's even brighter than a 5000K light because my previous light was a 4000K and less bright. I would need to install a dimmer to dim down the light but it was not expected as I had been under the impression that this light would produce warm/soft bright light. I did wonder if they sent me a wrong one?

Awesome replacement kitchen light

Great product for a replacement light fixture in the kitchen. Easy to put up and it really updated the look. Customer service was great and highly recommend them.

Obviously my mom didn’t read too much into it, but this is not meant for above kitchen islands. The steam will damage it. that is all.

Yellowish not white light

The advertisement says dimmable, but they don’t offer a dimmer. The light is definitely the old style yellowish type light bulbs. Not very bright white.

Beautiful fixture - poor instructions included

Likes: Beautiful fixture and nice clean bright white light. Dislikes: Before anything else: if you are replacing an existing fixture YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DIM THIS LIGHT without rewiring the switch run to the fixture location. It requires a two-wire low voltage run on top of the existing wiring, and in an "old work" application that means cutting holes in sheet rock along the run from the existing switch location and existing ceiling box location. Instructions are very little help at all. I had to do some high level math and geometry to figure a way to make sure the fixture was parallel to the closest wall. I mean, it looks like a college whiteboard on the ceiling under the fixture. The connecting points aren't where you'd think was logical (at 12, 3, 6, and 9 when looking at the fixture like a clock) they were 1/2 way between each of those points; very hard to lay out to poke the securing anchors. They should provide a template to make figuring support locations easier.

Built poorly

They covered up the ceiling fixture mounting spot with the ballast. You have to pop 4 screws into the ceiling instead. More than stupid idea who ever came up with it. Not as bright as I hoped for an LED.
