FRUSTRATING, Pretty Dumb Dummy Knob Plates

We had a pro carpenter install these dummy knobs in chrome, but he had trouble getting the chrome backplate to fix in place. The square backplate rotates freely. I'm not sure how to FIX the backplate? I bought 2 chrome dummy door knobs for the new laundry closet doors in our bathroom. I love the knobs, but will they stop spinning?? Signed, Spinning Knob Plates in Pittsburgh UPDATE 9/1620: One of the professionally installed dummy knobs has fallen out. I cannot figure out how to remove the bracket from the knob to reinstall. I searched the vendor website and any other online pages, but I found no installation guide or help. I have given up in frustration and just purchased the Kwikset dummy knob with exposed screws. I prefer the hidden screws on this design, but not the frustration. Don't waste your money on this product.
