Fits my General Electric 1.5 QT Ice Cream Maker
I found a boxed GE ice cream maker at Goodwill ($7.50). Once I got home - it turned out it was missing the freezer bowl. I could not find a low risk used one online, and my local Goodwill does not accept returns on electronics. However, even though this freezer bowl made the cost of everything close enough to a new ice cream machine - I still find it all worth it. And I appreciate the ice cream that much more.

Two is better than one
Okay I finally did it and so glad as I found quite a deal. We have been needing a second one as I did not buy the extra freezer bowl when I bought the machine. And well we make so many flavors and don’t all like the same. And right now we have Eggnog ice cream and the best dark chocolate ice cream ever. I like being able to make two batched one after another. And some of the recipes are so big one will not freeze the complete recipe. Been thinking about the 2 Quart machine but the second freezer bowl is working for now.

Sometimes they're great, sometimes they're not
Excellent machine!!! But my additional purchase of another bowl is disappointing...it doesn't freeze properly and doesn't stay cold. I make double batches of ice cream and keep both bowls in the same chest freezer, I've even exchanged their locations in the chest, just in case, but no, it didn't freeze solid in that location, and the other was wholly froze in it's new location. Basically, the bowl with the ice cream maker works well, my separate bowl purchase is a bit of a bummer

Perfect for multiple batches
Doesn't take up a lot of space in the freezer, freezes the ice cream base quickly in 15-20 min. Easy to clean. Perfect for when you need to churn multiple batches of a large recipe or want to have several quarts available (same flavor or otherwise) in a shorter period of time.

Understanding what to expect goes a long way towards proper use.
I really don't have anything bad to say, only that I wish that I had known what to expect the first few times that I made ice cream with the Cuisinart ICE 21 Ice cream maker. The instructions were not as helpful as I would have like. There are two things that I would encourage new users to understand. First, some recipes tell you to pour the ice cream mixture into the freezer bowl and then put the freezer bowl on the motor base and put the top on and start it. I would probably encourage ice cream chef's to get a wide mouth funnel and put everything together and start the motor turning and then pour the mixture into the freezer bowl via the wide mouth funnel. This works better than pouring it in and then assembling the mixing environment. The first few times I used it I had problems with the mixture freezer so hard to the wall of the freezer bowl so quickly that the motor wasn't strong enough to churn the mixture more that a couple of turns. The other thing is that the recipe that I used called for the mixture to be kept in the refrigerator for between 4-8 hours. Again this probably contributed to the freezing up after two to three turns of the motor. Other than this particular issue of the mixture freezing too quickly, it is amazingly simple, easy to use and inexpensive compared to the 500% cost of a unit with a compressor. Loving the small batches of wonderfully tasty and totally Ketogenic ice cream I get that works perfect for satisfying my craving for the truly celestial/essential food of ice cream.

Good to have a spare!
Love my little Cuisinart Ice cream maker! I ordered this EXTRA bowl so I can make 2 flavors in half the time. I now make a few flavors ahead, along with some plain vanilla, just in case. I would recommend this 'set-up' to anyone - especially with kids &/or grand kids. Beats a hot trip to the DQ any day.

One bowl like one batch isn’t enough!
Great to have on hand for making double batches or multiple flavour ice creams or sorbets during the same session. Trust me, 1 1/2 quarts disappears pretty fast with frozen desserts as good as this makes. If you are making one batch you might as well make two, and this extra freezer bowl really speeds the process.
