Easy to Use

After considerable study I just bought this Cuisinart 10 cup unit with thermal carafe because it had the features I wanted ie charcoal water filter (filtered water yields better tasting coffee), 10 cup, ability to make stronger brew with 3-4 cup option, and thermal carafe. Have been using a comparably priced thermal carafe Capresso unit for years and this unit is better designed. No dripper alignment to worry about as was the case with the Capresso which would spill the entire pot if not aligned properly. The water gauge on the side of the Cuisinart is easy to see as are the brew buttons on the front. Another feature that I like on this unit is it beeps when the brewing is finished. No carafe lid adjustment needed to pour the carafe (no dot alignment to worry about), just grab and pour- nice. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot longer than the Capresso I was used to. I don't use the automatic brew function but the clock setting adjustment on the face of the unit is easy to see and simple to use. I was willing to pay more for a Gold Star rated coffee maker but couldn't find a 10 cup model with a charcoal water filter. I don't like that this unit is made in China but almost all coffee makers are. This Cuisinart unit is not commercial grade but we only brew one pot per day. Remains to be seen how long this unit will last so will report back if it craps out before 5 years. My initial impression is good. I gave it a four star because I have no history with the unit so can't rate its durability.

I love this coffee maker!

I love this coffee maker! It is simple to use without a lot of extraneous features but does all the necessary stuff. It makes great coffee and can be programmed to have your coffee ready before you get up in the morning. It is easy to set the time on the clock as and to program it to come on as desired. The insulated carafe keeps the coffee warm for hours. It makes 10 cups which is a good amount for my husband and I each morning. The gold filter is easy to use and clean and eliminates the need for paper filters. It has a water filter which I find unnecessary because we filter our water before putting it in the coffee maker. One of the complaints is that it is hard to fill the reservoir with the carafe. This is true and you have to take off the pour top to get out the last bit of coffee or water. I have found it easier to use a pitcher to fill the coffee maker to the desired amount using the cup markings on the machine to gauge the correct amount. I highly recommend this product.

Nice and light for easy storage

Do not feel the instruction book explains how to use each feature of the coffeemaker. Example: can't figure out how to set the clock - need how to do illustrations.

Cuisinart 10-cup coffee maker

Looks good, and is easy to operate. Very difficult to get out the last cup of coffee from thermal pot. Coffee does not come out hot or stay hot in thermal pot.

Makes great coffee, and I love the carafe that keeps the coffee hot for me

This coffee maker works great for me. I prepare my coffee in the evening to have ready in the morning, so the programmable start was a necessity for me. I only gave the coffee maker 4 stars for two reasons. 1. The button and knobs on this coffee maker seem really cheap and flimsy, like one I would expect on a coffee maker costing no more than $30. For the amount of money charged for this one, I expected better. 2. The carafe for this pours great, however, it is almost impossible to get the last 1/2 cup of water out of the carafe when pouring it into the coffee maker. The carafe is great for me, as I will make a pot and drink it over a period of 3 or 4 hours. My old coffee maker had a glass carafe and a heating plate. By the time I got my 2nd cup, the plate had already shut off and my coffee was getting cold. This one will keep my coffee hot for at least 4 hours, so it's perfect for my use. I should note that I got rid of my Bunn coffee maker because it would spill every time I poured it. My last coffee made with a glass carafe would also spill sometimes if I poured too fast. This is probably my favorite feature of this coffee maker. You can pour this coffee from this carafe and it always pours the same way. Even if you remove the lid and pour, it will pour a steady stream like it's coming out of a faucet. I love it.

You don't need any more coffee maker than this. Forget extra buttons and weirdness. Makes great coffee either with its gold filter or paper jobs.

Looks nice

Looks nice, easy to use. I like that you can change the auto off time and adjust for brewing small amounts. It makes a loud annoying beeping sound when it is done brewing (not good when I am the only one awake at 5am and trying to quietly have my coffee without waking anyone else up...) and then beeps again when it auto shuts off.

Very easy to use, program and clean, just remember it's only 6 cup capacity even though it says 10.

Se enfría antes de un tiempo considerable

Considerado que le falta tener un tiempo adicional para mantener la temperatura correcta, ya que si la programas para encendido y que concentre el sabor, antes de la hora ya se encuentra tibio

No me gusto mucho, ya que no deja muy caliente el café, se requiere ponerle agua caliente para que salga bien el café
