Very Nice! I love these

Beautiful..gives me extra storage and looks really nice..and rich..worth the extra money..they do smell like paint..but I kept them open for two days and it was gone these have great look with all my closet space being full...it is nice to have a creative option for storage They look so great with the leather look and wood..brass hinges etc..nice and sturdy..everything lines up...yea I have bought some over the years that were meh...these were such a nice surprise when I opened the box all I could think of was YES! Thank YOU! update! I just ordered a second set. These trunks are so sturdy and have held up...I was looking for a storage cabinet..and these came up again...and I just ordered another set...they are terrific...they held up over a year they look gorgeous and I will be using them all the time as I do the others...I am glad i decided to go with what I know was excellent

Attractive and Functional

These were received in heavy packaging and in excellent condition. There was one minor defect on the large trunk, but it was just some discoloration and I actually find that it adds to the sort of antique look of them. They're fairly sturdy but they're not really made for lots of abuse, but they should hold up well with reasonable care. The belts on the front are mostly just for decoration and are actually pretty flimsy. They button on, rather than snap on like a belt; if that makes sense. The main latch is also kind of flimsy, but it should serve well enough. Still; for the price, I find these to be very attractive and fairly sturdy, and I will probably hold onto them for many years to come. I am quite pleased with my purchase and I would recommend these to others.

Don't waste your money!

Trunk showed up damaged. The back "tiered" foot base was completely broken off - and I can't even repair it because the bottom tier us missing!

Decorative and functional

Good decorative accent with storage. Not high quality but comparable per the price paid. The troublesome part is that they smell very must inside. I placed a softener sheet in each which seems to be helping.

Ace Ventura must of delivered this!

When opening the packaging which is not very substantial to begin with, the large chest had 3 of the 4 wooden feet broken off, 1 hinge ripped out and the corners showed cracking and tearing. The interior two chests were fine with no damage. I won't return this because the pain in the butt factor involved and honestly it gives me a project to do repairing it. But come on man, this is coming from China and it has to have better packaging! I'm visualing Ace Ventura doing his shtick and that's seems about right here....

So Happy!

I received these trunks today and I am so happy with this item. They arrived promptly, with all hardware intact and not a single nick or scratch. I do agree with the other reviewers, it does take awhile to unpack them but so worth it! The color is just what it appears to be and yes, it is a crocodile type faux leather finish but still quite pretty. They match my current furniture quite well and are a beautiful addition to my room. I highly recommend if you're looking for extra storage that is also nice to look at.

Snitched Gift

Bought this as a gift for friends who decided to return for something they needed more ... wasn't worried because of amazon's awesome returns policy but .... kinda liked them so much myself that I kept them! They are really well made and add to a room. The middle one serves as its own side table, and the small one holds plenty so that it is not just decorative. The downside was the shipping/packaging: that took longer than expected and it was an exhausting chore ripping the box apart to liberate the trunks. But worth it.
