Marvel Costume

I received my order early and was very pleased with the costume; however, if you are tall, which I’m 5.8, the length of the suite is short. I realize you are suppose to wear boots. I will not be, so it would have been nice if the length was longer. I also wasn’t sure of the size since I’m between 8-10, so glad I went with the medium.

Order smaller!

I should wear a large for something like this but the reviews mostly said it runs large so I ordered a medium and it was the right choice! If my hips weren't so wide I could have gotten a size even smaller. But I don't feel like it's huge on me. It's not spandex snug, but it's not baggy, other than the arms. Pros: +Very vivid color! +Lots of armpit space and sleeve length. +Has half gloves - thumb, palm, but no fingers - so it's like having gloves but not suffocating and uncomfortable. +Plenty of leg and torso length +Back zipper makes it easy to get on and off +Comfortable to wear +wide shoulders fit my swimmer shoulders with wiggle room Cons: -The pants are slightly less colorful around the waist than the top, but it's not super noticeable unless you are inspiring it. - The seams show if it's stretched too much. -The lines don't line up at the waist but the belt covers it. -Torso is too long for me - but I'm only 5' 4.5" -Arms are really big in circumference (but I consider that a very small price to pay for having armpits that don't pinch) I really like there is a lot of wiggle room in who can wear this. It's fits a little odd on some bodies, but it's designed to work well with different body types, like mine. I'm very pear shaped and small chested so the hips are snug and the chest is loose on me but that's fine. Someone with a normal or bustier size chest would fit just fine. It's longer than I am, but being only 5 ' 4.5" that's to be expected. The torso is longer than I think most women, but that means that tall women could wear it, too, which is awesome. The arms are unusually long, but the palms only go about an inch past my palms so I'm find with that. A LOT of women's out fits have arms that are too short. If I stretch my arms out they are an inch above my wrist. This fits much better. The legs are nice and long and tapered so even though it's able to fit someone inches taller than me, it doesn't hang down past my ankle and it doesn't look oddly bunched up. The thighs are a little stretched on me and the calves are loose because I have big thighs. I don't think I know a woman with arms as big in circumference as these sleeves, but I can live with that. That's the biggest annoyance and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I think the other cons are not worth lowering the rating. My measurements: Height: 5' 4.5" barefoot. Torso: 18" Inseam (ankle bone to crotch): 25" Bust: 37" (mostly from roundness of body not chest size) Hips: 40" Waist: 40" Circumference at thigh height: 41" Thighs: 24" Calves: 13" Shoulder to wrist: 19.5" Bicep: 12" Forearm: 8.5" Shoulders (at upper bicep, not tops, 'cause that's wider on me: 18"

Cute and kept me warm

This was cute, but be sure to order down one size. I followed everyone’s advice and ordered a medium and it fit fine. I didn’t find it too long like some said. It was a little hard to zip because the zipper is in the back and my arms aren’t that long!

Fabulous

This is one of the best costumes I’ve purchased online! I would have given it 5 stars except that the crotch sat super low as does the waist line. The arms are also super loose. I had it altered prior to wearing and it turned out perfectly! To help sizing, I’m 5’6”, 178 pounds. Ordered Medium.

Great value; I love it! (Runs large)

PLEASE ORDER AT LEAST ONE SIZE DOWN! I am almost 5'5'' and around 116 lbs. I wear men's clothing, and my sizes are a 28 in pants and small or extra small in tops depending on brand. According to the Rubie's Adult Female Size Chart, I would be a medium in this Captain Marvel suit. I read all of the reviews that recommended sizing down and found a few reviewers who were approximately my height and weight and followed their choices. I ordered the EXTRA SMALL (two sizes down), and it fits wonderfully! It's not tight, which I like. It gives me room to breath and move and not have every curve of my body displayed. Huge plus for me as I prefer to appear more like a rectangle or inverted triangle body shape haha. I could not be happier with this costume. I am so in love with it! PROS: - Fully printed on front AND back! (Unlike the one at Party City, which is also more expensive than this one...) - Thumb holes at the ends of the sleeves! - Zipper closure on back! (As opposed to the Party City suit that has Velcro squares with gaps in between that leave little openings through which your back can be seen...) - The colors and design are instantly recognizable as Captain Marvel! - Belt accessory! CONS: - Belt accessory has a limited range of hip/waist circumferences it can fit. - Depending on your size and the size you order, the neck hole may flap around a bit. - Figuring out your correct size might be a gamble, so SIZE DOWN unless you're sure there's another reason you need a larger fit! Overall, I definitely recommend this suit. I've only worn it once so far, just to try it on and take photos, so I cannot speak on the durability of the material or the longevity of the print. I will be wearing it at least twice more this month, so if any of my impressions change, I may edit this review. Just wanted to get this review posted ASAP since others might be looking for a quality Captain Marvel suit for Halloween this month! Please note, the suit does not come with a cape. I purchased that separately. I know Captain Marvel doesn't wear a cape, but I wanted one for my own reasons.

Big on top half

It fits in the bottom half but is way too large in the top half and arms. It's not noticeable from a distance but it's really baggy in the back. I was going to exchange it for a smaller size but there isn't a smaller size available. So I'm just going to keep the XS. I'm 5'6" 124 lbs 38" hips 26" waist 34B. Hope this helps someone choose the right size.

Pretty good costume

Pretty good for a Halloween costume. Definitely a lot of stretch (I wear a medium and the XS fit perfectly). The material is a bit thin and started pulling after one use, even before washing

Sizing is Quite Large

Thanks to the other reviews mentioning this, the sizing of the costume is very deceptive. You will need a size that is smaller than your usual one. Other than that, the costume is of good quality for the price and looks great.

This product is a good fit it has bigger arms I ordered a small I am a size uk 12 as I was worried it would be to small but its not, it fits good although the arms a little baggy. I am 5ft 4 and it's perfect size in length, It's good quality with no faults, quite thin but not overly, zips up the back I ordered for halloween and I am looking forward to wearing it x

Good Costume

This costume was great for Halloween. The length was perfect for my tall daughter but the waist was a little big. My daughter is 11yrs old, tall and skinny so I ways have to deal with big in the waist but perfect length items. Overall, great quality for the price.

Doesn’t fit how you expect it to

Size runs extremely large, I read the reviews so I went for the smallest size, but as soon as I tried it on it was so baggy, I was very disappointed. I would have returned it, but luckily I was able to get the outfit completely altered in time by a friend. The costume isn’t cheep, so the fact you then need to get it altered is not good. Once altered I loved the out fit and everyone said the outfit looked awesome.

Great costume!

I am a size 12 and the L was a but loose on me, a little loose in the arms but I would rather a bit loose than too tight. Overall I would say its good for sizing, a little on the larger size compared to some stores but that's good I think compared to being too small.
