Comfortable
I bought my first pair of timberline boots to wear when I road my motorcycle. From the first day I put then on my feet and wore them ALL DAY. These are a replacement pair of boots but the 5 years I got out of the others pair lets you know the quality of these boots.

colors are not as expected
Both my color calibrated PC and phone show a warm brown with warm green accents - the shoe itself was mousy brown with practically grey accents. Not what I wanted. Fit just fine though. I wear women's Vans in 7.5 and my feet are 9.5" long.

Love these!
I love these shoes so far, they feel very sturdy and are made of good material. They do run a bit small and narrow, I normally wear a 7.5 but I sized up to an 8 because I saw that they run small- but they are still too narrow for my feet (I normally wear wide shoes)

Long lasting
I've had these boots for a little over 4 years now and they are still in great shape. Sometimes the laces get untied pretty easily so I've had to double knot them. Other than that, they have great support and traction when hiking. And they're comfy!

Nubuck has nap....
I read complaints of scuffs on the leather. Well, these boots are nubuck which has nap. The markings you see is a characteristic of material with nap, the same way velvet or suede has nap. To make the texture more uniform, take a soft bristle brush and make gentle strokes across the leather in one direction. You can clean nubuck that has water spots or dirt on it this way too. Aside, these boots are very comfortable. My feet are a bit wide, but low volume. I am a size 6 in street shoes, but bought 6.5 regular width for hiking. They are very roomy even with a cushy wool hiking sock, almost bordering on too big, but I'll keep them anyway because they are Gortex and have good metal eyelets. I agree with some reviewers that the sole can be slippery on wet surface. Would have been 5/5 otherwise.

Good boot
A dependable boot . Wife had these for over 6 years before beginning to leak and were still the most comfortable boot. Got a half size larger so needed thicker sock. Boots are warm and arch support is great at preventing foot fatigue when hiking. Wish the sole was more secure on wet rocks. We both like Timberlands and this style in particular. Time will tell with this new pair.

Small
I have been getting this boot for years. I get the wide width. They are stiff. That's expected but 5he seams around the toe areas are real painful I may have to return them

Slippery When Wet (but gets more comfortable with time)
UPDATE: I have had these boots for ~3 years now. They have turned into my most comfortable footwear for all seasons. It is comfortable as long as I am wearing 2 pairs of socks. The traction issue also improved over time. So, I am updating the initial rating from 3/5 to 4/5 (the lost star is due to the initial discomforts with it, and also the little circle decals on the outer side fell off within 1 year, but that doesn't impact the comfort of the shoes). INITIAL: I have had these boots for only a couple of weeks and have worn them less than 15 times so far. Something to note is that I typically wear 7.5w (but can fit into 6.5s depending on brand). The size 8 version of this brand is a good fit for me. Pros: 1) SUPER DUPER Warm! It may be freezing outside, but my toes are warm, toasty, and dry whenever I am wearing these. Cons: 1) These boots are very slippery, especially when it rains (a surprising feature for hiking boots)! I happened to wear them for the first time on a rainy day. I was fine walking outside on the rough concrete. However, upon entering the subway, I automatically adjusted my gait because the smoother flooring revealed the boots' slippery nature. When I got on the escalator, I noticed that the sliding effect dramatically increased: it culminated in a hilarious but painful few seconds that seemed to last an eternity when I slipped and fell down the escalator steps until a fellow commuter was able to catch me and stop the downward descent. I am hoping that once I break them in, they will have better traction on smooth floors and metal surfaces. 2) The boots rub at weird places of the foot and may end up being corn/blister inducing in the long term. For example, regardless of whether I am wearing 1 pair or 2 pairs of socks, I feel the boot rubbing on my right 3rd toe. And again, although the top of the boots have padding, and I am wearing two layers, they still feel rough around my ankles. 3) There seems to be only one way to comfortably wear the boots all day: laced all the way up tightly. I wore them briefly (~2hrs) without using the hooks and my feet felt so fatigued and in pain as if I had just finished a day of walking in bad shoes. Once I laced up the hooks, the feeling gradually went away. The boots do feel heavy on my feet, but I think (hope) this would also go away once I build some muscle (I typically wear really light weight comfy flats). I don't recall experiencing any of these issues with my previous hiking boots (especially the slipperiness! What I recall with the other boot was the expected stiffness that went away once the shoe was broken in). Since most of these issues may go away once the boots are broken in, I am giving this product 3/5 stars for now.

I really like them
I bought them as my first hiking boots so I really cannot compare, but I like them. I've used them for my first trekking. I've walked 155km in Scotland (West Highland Way) so I knew I needed something waterproof. I'm glad they were efficient enough for the everlasting rain! They were comfortable as soon as I tried them, and I found them really comfortable the weeks before I left for my trekking, mainly walking with my dog outside so nothing more than 1h. Although, during my trekking (and I actually spent 4 weeks with them on my feet everyday during my trip to the UK), I realized that they were too large for me. After my 3rd day of trekking (~75km), I got blisters all over my feet. My feet were moving and rubbing against the sole of the boots. I'm not sure if a size down would have been fine. I think the problem was more with the width of the boot? Anyhow! I still really like them, and wear them now in my everyday walks, especially when it rains since I don't have rain boots!

Fits perfectly - because I ordered a size larger than I normally take.
I have to say first, that these boots are quite nice and light, and extremely comfortable. However, I did buy a size larger than usual (I normally take an 8, but bought a 9, as someone in their review did say the sizes were a bit snug. Sure enough, the size 9 fits my size 8 feet perfectly! Considering these are not a cheap item, Timberland could be a bit more generous with the coverage around the top of the ankle: with thick socks on, I actually have a small gap either side of the tongue, where it doesn't meet up with the leather of the boot. I probably have sturdy ankles, but I have not ever had this happen with any other boots. BUT the good news is that, even taking this into account, I would probably buy them again, as they are so comfortable. I just have to be prepared to get maybe a little wetter around the ankle than I might have, with no gaps!!

Excellent product
Excellent product. Unfortunately the product delivered was incorrect size. I had ordered size 8.5, and size 7 was delivered.

Good boots
The boots did not fit me as I need a wider size. So I gave them to my daughter and she loves them. They provide good support for her. Her feet tend to get “tired”. She also l8kes them because they have good grips for snowy weather.

Comfortable, hard-wearing tough boots.
I use these boots for twice daily dog walking and working as a gardener so I often wear them all day, every day for days on end. They are comfortable straight from the box and I've rarely had a pair (I have had lots of pairs) that rubs anywhere. They are fairly waterproof until they are getting worn out but benefit from a bit of waterproof dressing now and then. Quite light weight so an easy wear, maybe not so suitable for climbing or really difficult terrain but great for everyday walking.
