Amhest II: runs a bit narrow IMO, so went with the wide/E, all good

I bought these because I needed a mesh safety/work boot (for long hours in work boots), and liked the clean look of them, i.e. not too 'busy' with accents etc... the only issue I have with them is that the insoles are cheap and barely functional.... HOWEVER, since the boots ARE relatively more AFFORDABLE (than, say, the Rev with Durashocks), you might thus afford to get a decent pair of replacment insoles of your choice (I chose Thorogood insoles as replacements). Also I think they run a bit narrow, so you might want to size-up, and/or go wide/E when fitting.

Better than the Timberland version of this boot.

I used to by the Timberland boots lile this, but got tired of them blowing out after 6 months. I took a break from that type of boot for about a year. I have always had good luck with Wolverine boots in the past, but I was unaware they had this style. So far these are better quality than the Timberland's and just as light.

Second pair, love these boots!

I thought these for my son who was hesitant to wear steel toes. He ended up wearing these even when he wasn't working because they were so comfortable. He wore them exclusively for 1.5 years and finally outgrew them. Great tread, breathable, toe protection for work. An all around great shoe!

Great design, crappy materials.

Love the look and feel of these work shoes. I bought them for their lightweight toe design. Three stars because we are falling apart after the first week of hard use. In fairness our job sites are very rough. But leather (Carolinas) work boots usually last me 2-5years. See how long they last until they fall apart for $100.

Surprised on how well they feel.

The first pair I got had a defect in the lining. Sent them back and got another pair. The second pair fit well, were lite, and felt stable in them. My only hold up was that the boot's insoles were the thinnest I've ever seen. The only reason I didn't change them was because I had no time to change them out. That being said, I have been working with them for 2 months now and they are still as comfortable as the day I got them. It's an enginma. The material is still holding up too. I still recommend to get insoles for most people, but I'm going to rock the thin insoles until it get annoying. I'm glad I gave them a second chance.

Very light weight work boot

Just got these today, been wearing them for the past 6 hours, they do need about a day to break in. These are very light, typical of many styles of boots and shoes with hardened toes made by Wolverine. Typically I order 1/2 size larger when buying shoes/boots with protective toe caps, this boot was no exception. I've always had good luck with Wolverine products, these boots should serve me well also.
