Great Boots!
Comfortable for all use!!
Scritto da: Alex Strelnikov
They are a very good product and comfortable
They were amazing out of the box and still are. They are a little hard to lace up, one of the eyelets snags on the laces. The heels fit a little snug on the inside, I'm expecting that to loosen up as all leather does. The shoe is narrow for me, I've never had a narrow shoe, but again, as they loosen up, I'm expecting a very perfect fit. The tread is wide and will carry you through the Amazon down across the Antarctic and back up again. Sturdy, great leather, comfortable, worth the money. Small things I can note, or complain about, but I haven't found a shoe in todays world that meets perfection, have you?

Well Made, Comfortable Boots
I purchased my first pair of Rocky's Alpha Force Swat Boots in January of 2009 on the strong recommendation of a former police officer. I needed something that had adequate support for long-term standing on concrete (8-12 hours), had sufficient traction for walking up snow, ice, and rain soaked sidewalks on steep, uneven ground, and were sufficiently waterproof to withstand walking or standing in several inches deep puddles for up to several hours a day. These Rocky boots seemed to fit the bill. When I first put them on, my first sensation was that I was standing on air, or on a pillow. They were considerably more comfortable than the boots I had been buying in the previous years (and we're talking in the ballpark of $100-$150 pairs of boots). Since I purchased that first pair of boots, I've used them in a variety of really destructive ways, and I have been suitably impressed at how well they've held up for the last two and a half years. They've survived two and a half years of: 1) Standing on concrete for 8-12 hours a day. 2) Walking 2-3 miles per day, several days a week. 3) Record snow and rainfalls, only leaking when I walked through rushing floodwaters that were over the midway point of the boot. 4) A job that involved all day use of a pressure washer, water hose, and cleaning chemicals while standing in 2-3 inches of water, grease, and mud, on a concrete floor, eight hours per day, for several months. I actually used the pressure washer to wash them off on several occasions, and still suffered no leaks. These boots are not only still wearable after all of this, but are still largely water proof. I am just now replacing them, in August of 2011, and only then because the inside fabric of the boots have had holes worn through them from all of the walking, and the exterior shell is permanently dulled and stained from repeated exposure to heavy duty cleaning agents and grease, and I need a decent looking pair of work boots for my next job. Obviously, comfort is largely subjective, and your miles may vary depending on what you're using them for. For me, they've been the most comfortable boots I've ever worn, are relatively affordable, and have been surprisingly durable after years of punishment that they weren't really meant for. My wife, who works in an office, but frequently has to make trips out into a dirty shop area, has a pair for herself that she bought at the same time as me. Her boots look nearly new, and she can continue wearing them, doubtless, for years to come. I'll continue buying these exact boots until they stop making them.

Not as good as they use to be for people wide feet.
I have worn these Rocky Alpha boots for over 20 years and have loved them. I was able easily order a new pair when my current pair needed replaced. However, since my last order; they have changed the pattern and now I have not been able to find the correct size that doesn’t hurt my feet. I use to wear a 9 or 9w. I ordered a pair of 9 that felt a bit tight but I figured would stretch out in a few day of wear. They didn’t so then I ordered a pair of 9.5w same problem. I then compared the toes of the old boots and the recently purchased boots and they’re not the same the pattern has changed. The newer boots are just a bit more narrow.

Great duty boots that have been repurposed as hiking boots after 1.5 years.
I am on my second pair of these boots and after 15 years in law enforcement these are my favorite. I started with side zip Bates and realized I did not like zip up boots. I put them on and take them off once every 12 hours, so the little added convenience was not really necessary. My next pair was a quarter to Danner, I got on clearance. They were great, (my 2nd favorite), but I would never have paid full price for them. I had a few pairs of 5.11 that I liked. I tried the Under Armour, which were light and felt like sneakers, but only offered the protection of sneakers. Those broke down in a few months and you could not shine them. These Rocky Alpha Force are by far my favorite. They are the most comfortable, even in the hot Florida sun. I retired my first pair from service after a year and a half, only because of scuffs in the toe from concrete that made them tough to shine. Most of the tread is still good aside from my inside heal which is worn because of the way I walk. These boots are so comfortable that I now use them for hiking. Besides being black duty boot, they are probably better for hiking than any hiking boot I've owned. My current boots turned a year old yesterday and are still going strong.

My Favorite Boots So Far
I've had these boots for about two months now and I really like them. Let me qualify that statement by letting you know that all I ever wear is boots and I bought these looking for something that will last When I first started wearing these, it took about a week to break them in; but they're super comfortable once you get them broke in. They also offer quite a bit of tread depth, and the tread wear seems pretty light to some of the boots I've worn in the past. I usually wear through boots pretty quick, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. The only thing that is showing definite wear is the shoe laces. The shoe laces are showing signs that they may break in the next few months; that's fair though since I go through shoe laces pretty quick. These boots definitely offer some good features. They are waterproof, which is important here in Boise, Idaho during the winter (our snow and rain season). The nonslip tread does well in the snow. They have removable shoe beds, so you can let them air out after use to avoid your boots smelling too strongly of feet. There is a little bit of tread on the very front and back which is useful for kicking off snow or mud against a surface. So, assuming these will last, these are great boots. I'll probably order them again someday after I wear through my current pair. I'd definitely recommend these for anyone who is a frequent wearer of boots.

This boot is perfect! Definitely the best I ever owned
It 's my first time hearing the brand Rocky but I found that it makes boots for U.S. military so I decided to give it a try. I went with the wide foot option after seeing the reviews even my feet are not so wide. And I turned out to be right. Only took a few minutes to break in. This boot is perfect! Definitely the best I ever owned. It's so soft so you won't feel like it's scratching your feet even after a few hours walking. Haven't got a chance to test how waterproof it is but I would say go with this if you are hesitating.

As often stated, get the Wide.
Really comfortable, appears to be durable. I got the W expecting to have a little more give for thick socks and insoles. Turns out it's a snug fit even then. I would've had to return them for sure had others not warned me in their reviews. I'm satisfied though. They look and perform great.

Very narrow, even for a W
Size 9.5W - I should have heeded others who commented they are very narrow, despite looking really nice. I have a 10yr old pair of their oxford style shoe (reviewed on their site) which are EW and fit fine (but the soles are coming apart - already used a whole tube of shoe-goo, but there's no saving them), so I thought a W might not be that bad - nope, too tight and hurt my feet. Not sure if I should take a chance and return for a 10W or just say screw it? UPDATE: Returned item for full refund, which was quick and easy! BTW, I gave me old shoes to my roommate Larry (pictured). He seems pleased.
