Important Case Modification

I bought this set to replace my father's old set. This case is very questionable, but it seems to be gearwrench's style. The sockets and ratchets will be everywhere when you get this set. I took some foam from another socket set I had, and I cut it to match the case. You could leave it loose, but I used some spray adhesive to mount it to the inside of the lid. The foam I used is maybe a 1/4" thick and pretty soft, but this set is now drop proof.

Tools great. Box is trash

So I’m an aircraft mechanic by trade so that means I’m a tool collector lol. I love gear wrench and hood them up there with snap on. This box I got just to collect at home because again I like GW. Anyway the tools are great love em would buy again however the stupid case is trash lol. Every time you pick up the box half the sockets go on the move so when you open it again nothings in its place. So ditch the box get some rails and your good to go.

All this work and no handle on the case

The tools look very nice they look good and they are inscribed with large fonts. And I bet when they get dirty, they will be more legible as the dark dirt contrast with the chrome whatever shininess. However there is no handle to carry the case. And on the occasion where you need to carry the case it is quite annoying. Whhhaaaaaaaaay no handle ?

Poorly packed

Great set but packed out very poorly. Was missing 2 sockets from shipping.

Where is the 10mm 1/4 drive

Does not come with a short 1/4 10mm socket. It does have an adapter but what it it is a tight spot. 1/4 ratchet is too short. When you open the box the sockets will be all over the place. Mine was missing 2 sockets. Also these are not 6 point to me that make it less of a value.

Tools great, case not so much

All of the tools were good quality and exactly what was promised. The gears on the socket wrenches aren't as fine as snap on, but are better quality than harbor freight or Lowe's/ Home Depot brands. Only gripe was that the cheap plastic case has weak hinges that were cracked when I received it and broke on my first night using the set. I'd rather carry the sockets on rails anyways, so it's a minor inconvenience for some great sockets. Overall, a solid buy and I'd recommend it.

Great tools, great value, lousy case.

The tool quality is good and the price to value is excellent. Unfortunately as some others have experienced and commented, some sockets roll around in the closed case. As we all know, it’s a big annoyance to always sort your sockets every time you open your case.

Herramienta de excelente calidad

Muy profesional, medidas SAE con numeros grabados en láser, los materiales son de gran calidad acero cromados y resistencia del acero para toda la vida (vale la pena el gasto pues el precio es elevado), el único inconveniente es el maletín de plástico, todas las piezas llegaron revueltas supongo del movimiento, no tiene buen soporte y me hubiera gustado una manija para transportar con mayor facilidad
