Not my favorite...

I wish I liked this grill brush more than I do... But it is quite large and a bit too big for my tastes... I do appreciate that the wooden handle doubles as a scraper as I despise metal scrapers. But unfortunately it's large size makes it unwilledly and awkward to use. I can't quite put my finger on what of it's design I could change to make it more versatile... Perhaps a shorter handle or a broader flat edge? Once again I do appreciate it's lack of a metal scraper as the stiff bristles of the plastic brush do work rather well for removing loose charred remains trapped in hard to reach edges on a cold grill without fear of gouging either the ceramic coated cast iron grates or the body of the grill itself.

this is grat for coated grills so as not to scrape coating off just can't use brush when hot, use wood side.

Yes and no

I like the wooden scraper teeth for cleaning the grids without damaging the porcelain coating. I don’t find the fiber brush to be that great, and it’s a little difficult to use because it is set back on the wooden head.

No complaints

Seems to get the job done. I bought it from the amazon warehouse and it was more used than I had expected. However, the tool itself seems to work fine. Helps keep the grill grates clean which is all I'm needing it to do. The wood part works well. The nylon bristles don't really seem useful since I clean my grill right after I'm done grilling and the grill is hot enough to melt the bristles.

Safe and effective scraper/brush

I am adamant about keeping a clean grill. I am one of those guys, I can't help it. I had a brush in the past that had metal bristles. I noticed that it was losing bristles, and I don't want my wife or offspring dying because of it, so I switched to this brush. After I grill meat, I flip the grill plates upside down and bring the coals to the highest setting. I do this to scorch off any meat/grease bits still on the grill. While the grill plates are upside down, I scrape the underside of the grill plates. After about an hour over the coals, I will flip the grill plates back over and scrap the topsides. It scrapes the grill very well when the grill is hot. After the grill cools, I use the brush to give the grill plates a final cleaning before I dump the coal ash and button the grill up. I highly recommend this grill brush.

Works good just like it should!

The bristle side cleans my cold grill grates very well and I don't have to worry about the loose small wires. If you have a grill that has a small clearance on the back, you may not be able to clean all the way to the back of your grates. The wooden section works as well on my grill when it is hot. The indentations are generic, but will wear in as you use it more. I also had the initial impression that the brush head was replaceable, but I spoke to a friendly and helpful factory representative named Bob who told me that they were NOT replaceable on the "Char-Broil 3715952R06 Hot & Cool-Clean Combo Grill Brush, Natural Wood". But to sum it up I don't think that should be a problem as I will probably wear it out and get a new one. BTW... I'm using this on a Vermont Castings grill.
