Fantastic Watch; Great value

This watch is beautiful. I get so many compliments everywhere I go. The clear back is nice to see the movement and automatic works. I do handyman work, and so far I have scratched the bezel and bracelet. Impressed with the crystal. So far it has zero scratches despite wearing it for work daily. Mine is accurate to +-2 minutes a week with regular wear. Very respectable. Well worth the price!

Great looks - Great timekeeping - Pity about the bracelet.

Firstly, let me congratulate Amazon USA for outstanding service. I live in the UK but decided to buy this watch from the USA site as, even with 'expedited delivery' and the customs fees, it still came in cheaper than exactly the same watch from the UK site. I ordered it on Monday morning and it was delivered on Wednesday afternoon - incredible, taking into account just how many miles it had travelled! I already own an Invicta, the 8926OB but I'd wanted a white-faced watch for some time and this fitted the bill. Cosmetically, other than the white face, the 9404 has a different kind of bezel, scalloped (like an Omega Seamaster) rather than the coin edge of the 8926 and I actually do prefer the scalloped edge even though it's more difficult to rotate. It's also half black and red which is a nice touch. I particularly like the watch movement. It hacks so you can set the time accurately and it's also capable of being hand wound - again a huge plus in my book. Over the past few days the watch is keeping pretty good time, averaging a gain of 8 seconds a day. Considering the COSC tolerances for high-end Swiss movements are between -2/+6 seconds a day, I reckon that's very good. The overall finish of the watch case is fine, some people have commented negatively on the side engraving of 'Invicta' but as I wear my watches on the inside of my left wrist it's not visible at all. Now for the niggles and the reason it doesn't get 5 stars. Biggest let-down is the bracelet. Compared to, say, an Orient bracelet which feels substantial and has a push button clasp for extra security, the Invicta just has a stand fold-over clasp and the whole bracelet seems 'tinny' - there's no other way to describe it. For an extra couple of pounds - sorry, dollars - It would be improved considerably by a better quality bracelet and clasp. Having said that, it was fairly easy to adjust to get it to fit my wrist. Secondly, the lume isn't fantastic (certainly not when compared to my Seiko Monster but that is indeed exceptional) but because I wear it on the inside of my wrist, it doesn't get the same exposure to sunlight as it would if it was worn on the outside. Finally, I found the crown was a little reluctant to screw back in at times - there seems to be quite a bit of resistance but this isn't necessarily a major negative, just an observation. Overall, for the money, I think this is a great watch and I'd definitely consider buying another Invicta.

Love or hate the brand, but can't beat the watch

Invicta gets a lot of hate in the watch world, but I have 4 Invicta automatic and two quartz pro divers, and I'll wear them before my Omega, Bulova, Seiko, or Citizen watches. My oldest Invicta is now 8 years old and never let me down, and still looks good. The pro divers are a fantastic value as an every-day beater. They are well made, all stainless steel, quality crystal, screw-down crown, 200M water resistance, and Seiko movements. Let's face it, you're functionally getting a Seiko SKX for 1/4 ( or less) the price. My only complaint is always with the cheaper bands. They are light and feel cheap, but most of the time I put them on NATO straps anyway, so who cares. If you want a great every-day beater that works in the office, at the beach, or in the woods, buy an Invicta pro diver, and skip the Timex or Armitron. Casio makes a good workhorse too, but they cost more than this one, and don't look as nice...

Stylish

It’s a handsome watch, if a tad on the small side compared to others in the Invicta catalogue. That said it it very solid and has a luxe feel. Very happy with it.

Warehouse Deal

I ordered this through "Amazon Warehouse" so presumably a return that had the packaging damaged somewhere along the line. It was about half the price of a new piece so I took the chance knowing that Amazon is usually pretty good about returns in general. The package arrived on time and was as described. The outer box was damaged but still intact. The presentation box was fine though and the original tags were contained inside. The watch had no visible damage or wear. I adjusted the band myself by removing a few links and tested the movement. No problems. Overall very happy with the purchase. I don't know if I would get a more expensive watch through a warehouse deal, but for an Invicta this made a bargain watch even more so. It was cheaper than a cheap Timex, but looks like much nicer. Many people in the "watch community" have problems with Invictas, and complain endlessly about their expensive warranty repairs and marketing ploys. But if you are looking for an entry level "homage" watch with some solid styling, a decent movement, that is an automatic, you really can't go wrong here. It simply is not a Rolex or Omega quality though so don't expect it to last you more than a few years. If you wear it hard then it is going to be get banged up. But for the small price tag, just replace it when the time comes and move on with your life.

Classic style with a carefree price

I doubt you could get a nicer looking, more accurate, more durable, automatic watch at a lower price. Read the instructions carefully before setting the date, or you might damage the movement. Don't pay a jeweler to resize it when it's very easy with $20 watch repair kit. There's plenty of classy automatic watches on Amazon for less than $100-- you can have the luxury of an attractive time piece and never worry if it's damaged or lost.

Compliment Monster

Excellent watch with a very catchy white dial and smooth stainless steel finish on the case. I received multiple compliments the first time I wore it to an event. Can be worn dressed up or down. Haven't tested water proofing under deep dives, but it did great in a pool and while taking showers. Lume isn't that great. Timekeeping has been very accurate with minimal tweaks needed once it has been set up. I own a quartz pro diver and it has held up great for the last 5 years with no issues. Looking to get a long service duration out of this one as well. Invicta watches are great and you cannot go wrong with the pro diver range. Highly recommended.

Shop from America amazon it is much cheaper

I bought my watch from Amazon in America it cost a fraction of the uk price even with import tax. It took about 3 weeks to arrive but is perfect. I had held it in my wish list for months but could not let the America price slip through. The watch is very high quality and great to look at I am very pleased the watch does gain about 8 seconds a day but that is no bad thing as it keeps you on time for meetings etc. If it lost time I would not be so happy. Overall a very nice buy

Not Waterproof!

I have to say I am disappointed with this watch. This is my 3rd Invicta watch and the others are OK. This one is sold as a divers watch with a rating of 200m. However, I wore it at my local swimming pool and it filled with water, stopped working and went rusty. Obviously this was returned.

Maylasian Gimmick

Seiko movement good stainless steel !!....but unfortunately assembled in Maylasia rubish no Quality Control watches are not oiled ..... Mine out of box did not work Crown fautly ticking but time not moving....how is it possible for them not to check. Not the first Invicta with bad Quality Control..Sieko please dont lose your reputation !!! m

Stopped working after 5 months
