Thought it would be better

Not impressed with this. It works but is is thinner & more flimsy then the chicago electric one I bought from horror freight 8 yrs ago. It uses the exact same lens control module as the HF one. Needed to replace the HF one due to battery being bad in that one. Should have bought another one of those. Wish this had a external battery, as, any such thing as this, the battery eventually will no longer take a charge. When that day comes the rest of it will be good but no longer usable. I do not recommend this due to when I grab it, it is like grabbing a flimsy paper bag, it flexes all over the place. Unfortunately the Forney name means nothing here. Was expecting better from Forney and did not get it.

It works, that's about it.

The helmet works, but that's about it. The viewing area is too "high" causing me to lower my head and when I do that, the helmet tends to slip off my head. The shell is "flimsy." The optics work great, but I bought another helmet immediately. I just didn't find this one comfortable to use. Great price, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I am a beginner, and it was easy. I looked around and it was the best for beginners. The price was great, I looked at several.

High Visabilty for the Price

I bought this hood because of the Reviews and I like green. I have a number of Forney Products that I am satisfied with. I was Pleasantly surprised with the clear view for the Price.

For a modest price, this is a great beginner hood!

This is my first welding hood, and I was able to put it to the test today when my welder arrived. It's really early to tell, but thus far it's a fantastic hood at an affordable price!

Lack of instructions how to use

The instruction manual is very poorly written. Doesn't really tell you how to use it. How do you know if it is charged or if it is working. I set it out in the sun. It says to let it charge 20 mins. OK I did that then it say to look at sun to see if it works well it gets dark for a second then goes back to see through. Is it supposed to do that?? I have no idea. They don't even have a decent Instructional video on there website to explain how to use this thing

Awsome good for the money

The head gear isn't the best n the plastic is kinda light weight but the lens is great for the money u can't beat this good it works just as well as others tht paid double I'm very happy with

Descent helmet

Works great for the weekend welder that I am. She’ll is a bit thin compared to my old Hobart but it works well
