This is the REAL DEAL

Expensive and worth every penny. This is a QUALITY product. You feel it the moment you pick up the box. It’s an old school shower head made in the USA with excellent quality standards and the water stream is the proof. It is, in one word, luxury. The only way I can describe it. On the fence? Buy it and find out. It’s not going to knock you over, but it is very nice. The adjustment of water flow is not dramatic but it keeps it from scalding or freezing you when you get in. It is a very smooth adjustment. Indicative of quality. Full blast is a very nice stream. Just buy one, you won’t regret it. MADE IN USA

Quality and Performance from Speakman, again

I have been a Speakman loyalist since I experienced them in hotels, and have had many over the years. Given the amount of times you encounter it in a lifetime, there is no reason not to have a great shower head. This one was for a master bath renovation, so I went with a higher-grade/brass unit to match the quality of the other fixtures. It has been fantastic...with the restrictor out, the spray pattern is so strong/powerful it almost hurts when you get your face up to it. My only minor gripe is that this head's pattern is not as adjustable as some others, including Speakman's own anystream heads. However, that is offset by the style and quality of this one. I fully expect it to outlive me, and make every day I shower in it a better day. Highly recommended.

Nice Chrome, easy to improve gpm.

Chrome is excellent. The faceplate with silkscreened logo looks a bit cheap (yes, I removed the plastic cover) as do the black plastic nozzles. But, for $120 or even $150 or so, it's a very good value. It worked well out of the box, but more is better. So, to remove the restrictor, the ball joint can be separated pretty easily. There are flats on the fitting end and flats above the joint. Once separated, the restrictor can be pushed out from behind and saved for the inspector's visit, or for when you decide that spectacular water flow is just too much for you. Without the restrictor, my drain could barely keep up. It will use more water per minute, but if you have very soft water, it will take noticeably less time to rinse. I am very happy with this product. Edit: Spectacular water flow was too much for me. So, I removed the o-ring from the plastic strainer and put the strainer back in the head. I was previously reducing the pressure and setting the temperature at the hot and cold valves. Now I can run at or near full pressure making it easier to mix. As a bonus, the screen will protect the head. All of this is super easy to do, so don't worry and just buy the thing, it is a great product.

Cleaning the S-3015 Shower head.

Okay, I really love this shower head, BUT! I purchased this in 2013, this is February 2015. I've had it long enough to have had to clean it in white vinegar and water. Three times now. What I have experienced is that after each "cleaning" the flow of water out of the head becomes more and more erratic, spraying out water in different directions. Oh, BTW, we have clean water without lime, calcium, etc. So, I figured there must be a way to disassemble it in order to clean out all the little deposits the vinegar/water mixture wouldn't. Nope, I couldn't do it. I called the company and asked. They told me there was no way, that it was not meant to be disassembled. "Really?", I asked. So, I said to the guy on the phone, "So, there's no way to do it, so all I have left is to take a thin pin and shove into each point?" He said, yes, I could do that. That just makes no sense to me at all!

Plastic sprayers eventually break

This is a great shower head until one of the plastic sprayers breaks. It's very solid, almost all metal. However "almost" isn't worth much, since the bit that's not metal is the weakest point. After 4 years one of them blew right out of the shower head leaving it useless. If this was a < $50 shower head I'd say fair enough and replace it, but at this price I expect better.

The Absolute Best

Bought this in 2012 after I used one at the Sheraton. Left it as is, no pulling out the flow restrictor, it is amazing. Feels like a massage. I noticed that the sprays were getting erratic, I gave it a vinegar and water bath. I don't know what happened but, right after this bath, the spray nozzles would no longer retract back into the head when rotating the adjusting lever. I emailed Speakman asking how I could repair it. They answered back that it wasn't repairable. I emailed back inquiring about the warranty. They asked for pictures and a receipt. I sent them. Two days later, I get a brand new massager in the mail. I won't ever buy another brand of showerhead, that's for sure. Thanks, Speakman.

Ultimate in Speakman shower heads, with easily removed restrictor

This is the valedictorian of Speakman's class when it comes to putting you awash in lovely adjustable spray. As ours is for an outdoor shower with a limitless-flow-through water heater and no issue with drainage, I removed the flow restrictor, and the result is a nigh-perfect waterfall shower that we all love. The restrictor is easily removed in under five minutes by unscrewing the head from the feed, then shoving the little white finned restrictor through from one side. No damage, so it can be saved should you change your mind.

Best Shower Heads Made

It’s a Speakman. What else do you need to know. Best shower heads around. Not a plastic head but this is solid heavy brass. Remove the restrictor and enjoy.
