I OWN AT LEAST 6 OF THE TRAVEL MUGS, DIFFERENT SIZES BUT THIS 1 HAS THE LARGEST...

I don't remember exactly what attracted me to this particular design, but it is a good carry-along sipping size. I take mine, sometimes two, outside in the summer to work in the yard. I get truly thirsty and sometimes I think they drain a bit slowly when I am really thirsty bad! Maybe this is why I bought this, however... I am almost ALWAYS SURPRISED by the amount of ice water that gushes into my mouth as well as out the sides of my mouth and down my shirt!!!!! I am so often surprised! It is not the lesser measured amount of the other mugs I have, and have used for maybe 15 years! Anyway, I guess in the heat of a 90-degree day with 90% humidity, I will be happy for the face splash!!! :)

It isn't as easy to drink from as older version

This new version of Contigo's Travel Mug is very nice looking and has some improved features, such as the sealing mechanism being easy to flip open for excellent dishwasher cleaning. However, the new design isn't as simple to drink from! It takes practice to be able to drink from without leaving some coffee on the outside the upper edge or a drip. The metal rounded top looks great, but as you take a drink from it, some of the drink will flow over the rounded edge and unless you intentionally wipe the mug downward across your lip after releasing the button, you will always end up with at least a drop of the drink on the outside. The older plastic top had a sort of a spout that fit over your lip and never required anything to assure a simple, clean drink with no drips

Great travel mug, biggest plus is dishwasher safe

Great travel mug. I bought it originally for my boyfriend to take to work in 2020. Best perk is how it's dishwasher safe, as we both hate washing things by hand. I just ordered 3 more of it for myself and extra for busy work days when neither of us have a chance to run the dishwasher. Great investment. Not too big, not too small. Fits well in any cupholder. The lid locks securely. It opens to clean. Overall very satisfied with this mug. I read reviews about the paint coming off in the dishwasher, so to be safe I'm only buying the stainless steel version.

Small issues

Pros: I feel the lock feature works well, though it was tough to engage the first few days. It’s limbered up a bit now but hopefully that doesn’t take away from it’s effectiveness. Twice now I’ve placed the mug in my hoodie pocket when my hands were full and there was no leaking at all. The coffee stays hot long enough for me to enjoy it (about 3 hours) and luke warm for several more hours. I like that this is easy to clean and that there is no plastic film to wear away slowly in my dishwasher. Cons: see above regarding lock mechanism. A small complaint is that I sort of wish this had a rubber grip - the smoothness is a double edged sword because nothing can wear away in the dishwasher, but the feel of the steel isn’t really pleasant to hold. I am more used to it after several days of use, but I almost dropped it today so thought again about wanting a grip. My biggest complaint is something that began today, after using this for about 5 days…a high pitched squealing where the ball meets the opening when the button isn’t being depressed. While my coffee was hot, the pressure caused this squeal. I had to click the button to release the pressure to stop the noise. I’m fearful this indicates a weak spot for it to leak eventually. I own another Contigo of the same design, but slightly smaller and with the plastic sleeve that is flaking away. I’ve used that countless times and never had the high pitched whine happen. Final thoughts: I got this mug on a good sale and feel it is a good value for the money. With that squeal though, I worry a little about longevity.

PERFECT SIZE

Love this item. Perfect for anyone. It holds two cups of coffee and it is very well insulated. Clean up is easy. I use mine every morning. RECOMMEND THIS TRAVEL MUG.

Love is all I can say

I love this tumbler. It stays cold or hot. I love it so much I recommended it to several people on my job. Yup!!! They made a purchase too.

It doesn’t keep my coffee hot for as long as I would like.

I like the shape, I like drinking from it and I I know the liquid won’t spill. I use a Keurig and it fits nicely underneath so the coffee can go directly in. However, the coffee doesn’t stay warm for very long and i frequently find myself having to choose between luke warm coffee or having to pour the coffee into a cup and microwave it. I like the container better than the Yeti one I had but as far as keeping my coffee hot, nothing can beat that Yeti. It’s unfortunate.

Pricey but worth it

My old one has been with me for more than 3 years and still works wonderfully every day. I have small hands and the other models of Contigo are too wide for me. This model allows me to grab it and open it at the same time without having to use my other hand which is crucial when you're driving. My tea stays warm for more than 5 hours and not a single drop leaks out of it. I find it a little hard to reach the bottom when you're washing it and the lid is tricky to clean but I manage with a long brush. This is my second unit and I just bought it to secure a decent price to replace my old one in the future but I will use my old one until it gives up on me. I definitely recommend it.

Not extremely tough

As you can expect from Contigo, it’s totally leak proof. This design is also very smart looking and easy to grab and hang on to if you move around a lot. It’s not very tough tho. I work on concrete and had mine dented up within a couple weeks where my old Contigo lasted a couple years. If you drop it, it will probably dent.

Works perfectly but catches your mustache

The cup is very leak proof and keeps your coffee warm long enough. So five stars for that. The only drawback is surprisingly caused by my moustache that gets stuck in the joint. It's avoidable so I still recommend it.
