To big for my tiller

I measured mine and it is only 4inches, this one is 5 and a half inches.

Decent replacement piece

It fit nice. The rope is larger and softer than I'm use to for these, hence the 4 star. It's fraying a little already and was a little difficult to fit into the holes for the knots. Otherwise fit good!

A little tricky to install, but hopefully will last another 30 years

The center spline in the original cracked and I purchased this to replace. This was for a Snapper riding lawnmower with a 10HP B&S. Do yourself a favor and watch some YouTube videos before you start this project - I almost dropped this off somewhere to have it replaced b/c the rewind spring inflated to about a2FT diameter ball of metal whenever I took this out. After watching a few videos this took less than 5 minutes to get back together - the particular video I watched showed the use of a c-clamp (pictured) to hold the recoil pulley in place - this hack made all the difference in the world.

Good quality.

This solved a problem with my vintage cultivator - to be honest I was surprised to see this still available. Howevever, good quality and got my cultivator back on the road. Until I broke a different bit.

It is not as good as it should be.

It works but not as well as it should. Although it is a B&W part it appears to be slightly narrower which means that the pulley rope does not retract as well as it should. And if it does not start first time it does not retract at all which is a pain.

Fit perfectly on my old B&S powered Land-Mark Rototiller.

The starter clutch jammed and burnt the centre out of the recoil pulley on my ancient rototiller. This one was a perfect fit as a replacement (After I thoroughly cleaned and rebuilt the starter clutch).
