What did I order!?

I got these little jars for my fresh tea leaves not realizing what's on the package or the purpose of them! I definitely returned. The reason for the one star is because the jars are tiny. Don't be fooled like me not believing the reviews or reading the size of the jars. Also the jars not from Libbey, the famous glassware company, it's from an insurance company that specializes in the weed buisness. The actual jars from Libbeys are much bigger, that's what you get from ordering from Amazon lol.

These Work Well

They're definitely airtight, which will keep the contents from oxidizing and spoiling. My only complaint is that the black paint comes off too easily. I suspect that the green ones have the same problem, but I can't confirm this. So far as I can tell, the paint is on the outside. I would say that barring any improvements to this by the manufacturer, it would be better to get the clear ones and either spray paint them or cover them with contact paper. I'd have rather seen brown glass instead of black paint, cuz then I could sandpaper the outside, the way they do it for bottles of Freixenet Brut (Spanish sparkling wine). Brown glass by itself is a great blocker of UV light, and sanding it to opaqueness makes it better. Hopefully, the manufacturer takes note of this tip. Beyond the paint issue, though, these come highly recommended from me.

Logo on outside of box not cool, other than that they are okay

This review is for the Libbey BudShield Storage Jar with Lid. You get a total of 3 jars with lids in the box and they were packed well to make sure there was no breakage. They are individually wrapped and seemed clean to me. They are extremely tiny though, the pictures do not do them justice as far as the size goes. I washed these when I got them in. You need to disassemble the lid to do this otherwise you will end up with a bunch of water/moisture in your bud. Easy to do, easy to dry. The jars are frosted well and evenly to my eye. They look awesome. The lid has a really neat feature where looking down through the top it magnifies your buds inside a bit so you can get a closer look. You may need to shake them up a little to get one in the right spot. The one con of the lid to me is that the stopper part is plastic. The lids are thicker and higher quality than the jars in my opinion. The jars are very thin glass by comparison. I am actually a little worried about this because it takes quite a bit of force to put the lid on as it is a very tight fit. I am concerned the glass may crack or break under this force at some point. The one thing I was not happy about was what was shown on the outside of the box for these. A big ol' weed leaf on the outside of the box as the companies logo. Just be warned, if this is coming to a place where you are not allowed to smoke it is plainly obvious what is in the box. People will know immediately. Not a good look for the company here. Overall they are okay jars. They are cheaply made and should have a much better stopper for the price. I think these should be closer to half the current price or maybe around twenty bucks and the value would be better.

Very nice but small and a little thin; dark glass protects light sensitive herbs and foods

These are nice jars, if a little small. They are a thin glass but are easy to grip and don't shatter easily (definitely not shatter proof, though!). The lid fits snugly and is easy to take on and off. I got these for tea, as tea is not supposed to be exposed to light, and they've been nice to use although a little too small for tea, honestly. Overall, I'd still recommend them.

Very cool looking and high quality but NOT smell proof/airtight

These jars are very nicely made. The glass is matte finished and the lids fit well without being too tight. I love the style of these and they look great on my shelf. I assumed when I bought these that they were airtight, but I brought a full jar into my car and the smell was still very strong and not being contained at all. I will still use these at home but they just aren’t as good for travel as I had hoped so took off 1 star for that. I would still recommend these just based on the awesome look and feel.

Great little glass jars, but TOO expensive!

Don't understand why these are so incredibly pricy. That's honestly the only downside to this product. Love the size for keeping little sauces, dried citrus peel, nuts, candies, etc. Great for lunch boxes as the lids seal tightly and no worry about leaks. Would give these 5 stars if they were about one third of the price.

So, these are nice jars. The frosted black protects from the light so your buds/terps won't degrade from light exposure. The jars are small though, so I don't forsee anyone using these to store a whole crop - it would be super expensive. But if you want some special jars for some special buds, these are nice. Mason jars or Grove Bags will always be the best bet for efficiency and affordability but these jars are nice if you want something that looks nicer. The glass is not very thick. The area of the opening worries me a tad because if feels like it could possibly break in your hand when removing and replacing the lid. The lids don't seem to be fully airtight due to the plastic type stopper on the lid. Silicone would have been much better. Or anything that would make the lids more secure and airtight. I feel like these are just a money grab to the cannabis culture and no real thought was put into the jars as for actual practical use for mj, aside from rhe frosted glass to protect from light exposure.

Not candy jars

No exactly what I thought. Was expecting something bigger. Each jar is palm sized. I gave 5 stars because they are well made jars that have a good seal. Side of the box gives an idea of what these are used for. Which, gave me an idea how to store my pipe tobacco (seriously). Normally it’s just in ziplock bags. Each bottle holds about 3 pinches of smoking tobacco. Could probably use to hold small craft supplies as well. Way too high on price point spectrum.
