Sort of okay, but...

I got this as a temporary replacement while my Vitamix is in the shop for repair. I didn't expect it to be equivalent to the Vitamix, of course. But ... It does not pulverize greens (frozen); it doesn't blend well (stuff gets liquified instead of truly blended); it doesn't pull frozen fruit/ice cubes down to the blades (I pushed them down with my short Vitamix tamper). The instruction flier doesn't address the question of how to pack the container: Liquids first or frozen first? I used liquids first, frozen on top. And just a design note: The spout is silly. I had smoothie running down the side of the container because it doesn't pour well, thanks to a teeny tiny spout. Can't expect much for the money, but Vitamix, please fix my blender ASAP!

Quietest Blender I Ever Had

Make smoothies for breakfast. Quietest blender I have encountered. There is only a low growly hum when it runs - perfect for morning. The other thing I really like is how easy it is to clean. There are 4 parts to the pitcher assembly: The lid, the pitcher, the base with the rotor, and a sturdy collar to hold it together and secure it to the blender. *** No O ring to get lost, broken or mildewy! This is an improvement in blender design and a pleasant surprise. Also, the price is reasonable. A good buy and I am enjoying it.

There is spolling cpming from the bottom

This blender is ok, not the best nor the worse, but for the price its ok, i dont like that whatever i blend comes out from the bottom of the jar

Makes a grinding noise periodically

It did ok making smoothies, but I wonder how long it will last. Periodically it makes a loud gear-grinding noise, and a piece of plastic came out of the motor housing recently. On the plus side, it is much quieter than many other blenders I have owned.

Basic & quiet

Much quieter than all previous blenders we've used. Basic user interface and function, so those needing digital or gourmet accouterments may be disappointed.

Blends ice smoothly

I bought this blender mainly for smoothies and mixed drinks and it blends ice fantastic. My frozen Margaritas come out like a bars would, nice and smooth with no ice chunks. Easy to use and cleaning is a snap when rinsing just after blending. No issues and is holding up so far. It looks very nice and the pitcher is solid glass.

Soft & quiet

I love this blender! It’s not so loud, it has a quiet and soft sound to it. It blends amazing. I make my shakes in it & salsas. It is easy to take apart to wash. The cord has a little storage, can be pull out from the back. I love that the blender is glass not plastic. It is simple looking but it is amazing ❤️

Proctor-Silex Blender, 950 Watts distributed by Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc manufactured in China model B110- 120 Volts supply power, 60 Hertz frequency, 400 Watts rated by manufacturer -very noisy hard to be around when operates & wobbling from side to side, no locking mechanism to keep in one position. This is blender to avoid.

UPDATE FROM LAST SPRING!

I just read my last review and laughed aloud! After the honeymoon, this blender was SOOOO noisy anyone using it warned everyone before turning it on. Only two buttons worked. My husband would only use it in the garage to protect the dog. Yesterday it lit up but simply died, after under a year. So: CACOPHONY RIP. We won’t be shopping Proctor Silex ever again.
