One of the best for

Definitely one of the best for breastfed babies!! My daughter takes it well and I love that the nipple doesn’t creat a shallow latch.

Great bottles but nipple is huge

My baby is exclusively breastfed. Someone recommended these bottles. They are made well and pretty sturdy but my baby has trouble latching onto these. The nipple seems almost too big for him.

Glad I found them

I went on a long hunt for the perfect bottle for my 3mo little girl, who unfortunately has bad gassiness and reflux and was started to develop a bottle aversion during feedings. My wife pumps and we exclusively bottle feed breastmilk. I had used Dr Browns for a long time, but all my bottles started leaking and I got frustrated. I went to the store and purchased $100 worth of different bottles to try out to find the best one. This one was the winner for sure. Since switching 2 weeks ago, her reflux and gassiness is much better. She latches fine, doesn't scream at feeding time, and has way less gas. The flow is pretty slow on the lv1 nipple, which is what we wanted. There isn't an extreme shoulder on the bottle for milk to get trapped on, which matters for reflux babies which are typically fed sitting upright with a horizontal bottle. The materials feel high quality and there are fewer parts to wash than the dr browns bottles we replaced. There has been no leaking yet, not even if the parts are wet. As a bonus, the bottles are wide but still fit in my dr brown bottle warmer (which I love). There are only two downsides that I've found... 1. They're not cheap for baby bottles... none of the parts are cheap. 2. There is a weird pressure thing where if you heat the bottle and then put a cold nipple on it, milk will shoot out in a stream under pressure for a second after you tip the bottle. You have to remember to do this before you try to feed your baby... which you should be doing anyway to check for temperature.

After trying 5 different bottle brands, these are the winner, hands down!

We've been using these bottle for a month now with our 3 month old baby and couldn't be happier. They're very well made (like a Nalgene bottle) and cleaning is a breeze. After reading other reviews I was initially worried about leaking, but have had no problems whatsoever. Knowing that some people have had problems with leaking, however, I've always been really careful about how I put the collar and nipple on the bottle. The little ring inside that allows for air venting needs to be on in a specific way to prevent leaks. After putting milk in the bottle, I put the ring on and make sure it's setting in the grooves correctly. Next, I assemble the collar/nipple/lid. I set that assembled piece on top of the bottle/ring and slowly screw it on until I feel resistance, making sure I don't hear or feel the air venting ring move at all. Then I give one good twist to make sure it's tight. After I know the bottle is assembled correctly, I don't unscrew the collar at all until after I have finished feeding (ie: with Avent bottles I used to unscrew the collar to bit to vent while warming the bottle, but do not do that with these!) If you do unscrew the collar at all, the little vent ring inside usually gets shifted a bit and the bottle will leak. I know it sounds like extra work, but after the first week or so of using the bottles, it take no time at all, and I'll never use another bottle besides the Joovy Boob. We use the naturally nude nipples, and our son latches perfectly to them. No sucking air out of the corner of his mouth or losing his latch due to unnatural nipple shape. We switched to these bottles after struggling with Avent natural bottles (there's nothing natural about that nipple shape) and our son almost immediately starting drinking an ounce more at a time because he wasn't filling his little belly with air anymore. Great latch! The nipples are very life like.

Of all the bottles that we've tried I like these the best. My little one has a bit of a reflux issue as well as a slight tongue tie which has made finding the right bottle difficult. Both tomee tippee and comotomo have wide bases and short nipples and my little one has a difficult time getting a good latch unless he is laying down and his head is tilted back. That position contributes to his gassiness and reflux. Dr browns works well but I'm tired of all of the parts and the fact that they leak everywhere. With all that said i really like the joovy book. I can't exactly pace feed him (feed him while he sits upright) as I can with the Dr browns, but the latch is good enough to where it's not really an issue. He's using the nude nipple and the best I can do to explain is the the nipple is very soft and flexible, dare I say flesh-like. The nipple easily molds itself to his mouth. Don't laugh- but I gave it a try myself to see what the buzz was about and can attest to he fact that this nipple lives up to its name. Very boob-like. Oh one more thing- my little guy isn't really spitting up more or less with this bottle, but the consistency of what he does spit up is very mucousy which is strange.

Works great but with issues

We've been using these for about 3months now. The nipple shape is perfect for our little one to latch onto and that's the first problem to solve when looking for the perfect bottle. With our first child we used, and loved, the Comotomo. Loved loved loved the Comotomo. Sadly the second child could not latch onto those properly. After countless bottles/nipples, including Pacific Baby, Mam, Evenflo and Munchkin Latch, we found Joovy Boob. Quick note, the PPSU screw on rings do not fit on the glass bottles. Why they made them different sizes, I'll never understand. They are not interchangeable. So they loose a star for that. The vent ring can be tricky to get into place, especially for night feeding, but it seems to work. I would almost deduct another star for this but I'm getting used to this annoying feature. I pre-make all my bottles, formula powder in the bottom and then I add the distilled water when it's time to feed. Mixing the formula in the bottle seems fine but I do more of a swish mix than a shake mix to reduce the air bubbles. They seem to be holding up well. We've been using the dishwasher and no issues yet. We have both ppsu and the glass bottle.

Mi bebe las ama

Mi bebe ama estas mamilas, tiene 10 diferentes mamilas ( de otras marcas) y estas son sus preferidas excelentes para que no tengan cólicos y su boquita se adapta perfectamente al chupon, su flujo es perfecto y no se le derrama la leche por los lados de su boquita. Excelente compra ya las pedí también en color morado
