I tried 4 off brand bulbs in my kitchen table fixture and this is the only one that does not look fake. Clean light with no weird yellow overtones.

Good color temperature

Color temperature is the most important feature to me. I don't like cool white and I don't like peachy. This is the best I've found.

Almost perfect

I purchased some of these to replace Philips's superb "L Prize" lamps which finally went belly-up. This review is only for the 3000°K/12 watt ("75 watts", ugh*) bulbs. Other models may perform differently. Pro: 1) Very high (92) CRI value, much higher than most LED lamps. Colors look very true. 2) Very efficient, over 91 lumens per watt. Blows away the 45 lumen/watt standard that will likely take effect in 2025. 3) Tried in multiple model dimmers, works in all of them. 4) 3000°K "bright white" is ideal and very pleasing (though I admit that is very subjective.) Con: 1) At 4-5/8", they're a bit too long and stick out of my fixture which doesn't look that great (the Philips bulbs they replaced were 4-1/4" long; see photo for comparison.) 2) You may notice a hum if you have sensitive hearing. I can't hear it, but my wife says it's definitely there (though not bothersome.) * isn't it about time to finally drop the whole "incandescent equivalent" nonsense? They haven't even been available since at least 2014. Just tell us the lumens (brightness), wattage (energy consumption), color temperature, and CRI.

Five years? Um, no.

Box (pictured) says this bulb is guaranteed for FIVE years. I chose this premium Cree bulb specifically because it is in a hard-to-reach fixture & didn’t want have to change it often. Welp, here we are less than 16 months later, and it has blown. It was in use maybe 5-6 hours a day. How do we get Amazon/Cree to make good on this guarantee?

What a difference a good lamp makes

Perfect color temp and dimmable down to zero just like an incandescent lamp. Not to 20% like other led lamps

Hummmmmmmmms

They hum loudly when wired to a Lutron Caseta dimmer and the light level is turned up. They hum less when dimmed. The description specifically says the do not buzz, but they do. Otherwise, the light dims well. Still it is a fairly pricey bulb considering the flaw.

Near perfect as replacement for Halogens.

Perfect color rendering and color temperature, almost indistinguishable from Halogen incandescents. The light output is about the same as from a 60W Halogen, or 75W 2700k incandescent. Only complaint is, they emit a slight hum with our Lutron Caseta dimmers, although these dimmers are on the compatibility list. The hum is not that annoying and it fades in the white noise of other office equipment. My daughter did, however, notice the hum in her bedroom, but still got used to it as well. If Cree would solve this, those bulbs would be perfect.

Nice light, don’t last long

These led bulbs are expensive compared to other brands. They don’t last long. For us, they stop working after maybe 2 or 3 years in an indoor location where they’re on maybe 4 hours per day. We buy them for work areas and the kitchen where the nice bright white light is helpful.
