Great for 2.5 year olds
Love this set so far! I purchased two train sets (this being one of them and a different brand) and this is by far the better of the two sets. The wooden track pieces are sturdy and don't chip or break as easily as the other one. The plastic container came intact and not broken I'm any way. The other set I purchased came with the same sort of usable track top but the plastic bottom of the container was shattered into a million sharp pieces. I also like how easy this set was to put together. I only wish it came with more step by step directions on how to put the tracks together like the box but I made it work by grabbing a couple of pieces from his other set. Lastly, I like that the trains are one solid piece and they don't have moving parts or parts that can come off and on. My 2.5 year old son gets frustrated when his other trains (from the other set) come apart and don't stay on the way he wants them to. He actually ended up kicking and breaking his other set because he got so upset. Of course that ended in time out and the set taken away but that's besides the point. Overall this is a very nice set and I would happily recommend this to anyone.

My Son LOVES it & totally compatible with BRIO
My 6 year old son loves (LOVES!) waterfalls so I got this to add to his train set. He's got mostly BRIO and this set fits into it easily and, even though I can tell the difference in the trains and tracks (the quality isn't as good as BRIO), they fit together fine and he is LOVING having a mountain with a waterfall (which, incidentally, is really sturdy--you could probably throw it across the room and it would be fine--it's made of soft-ish plastic, but fits together perfectly with the train tracks). It's a small set at a good price point for what you're getting (and if you're expanding a train set, it adds features and tracks that give it a little more character than straight ahead BRIO, which can seem a little antiseptic. on its own.

Such a happy little boy. It’s great quality
The quality of the thus wooden train is good and the magnetic connections are effective. We love the fact that the storage container is portable and that part of the tracks’ mountain is the bucket lid! Easy for little hands to build and play with. Thank you!

Great Value. Arrived Damaged.
Terrific train set for our toddler. Compatible with wooden Thomas and Friends tracks & trains. Arrived in nice case but the case top is actually the mountain, not a lid. Without any protection in the shipping box, mountain arrived with "snow" scuffed off in several places.

Great train set.
My son received this train as a 5th birthday present and he loves it! We Already had a brio train crossing piece and it attached to this set just fine. I can’t really speak on the durability as we have only had this set for a week, but it seems very well made. My only suggestion would be that the wooden figures had a face or clothing painted on to make it more realistic while playing.

Great free play toy for kids!
My kids like this so much we had to buy a second one! The signs do break pretty easily, but that’s an easy fix with wood glue. We spend many afternoons playing with two of this set, or at least parts of 2 sets. Lol

Son loves it so its worth it!
Although my son loves his train set, it isn't put together well. The train pieces are sturdy and great, but the tracks don't align well. Could definitely be better, but my 3 year old doesn't notice.

Pretty good, especially at a low price
For a low priced train set this is good quality. I found it really difficult to assemble because there are very limited ways to make the set work as a complete loop and there aren't any instructions included on how to make it do that. It is also limited for creative expression because of this fault. That said, it is definitely high quality.
