Great replacement
My KitchenAid beater had seen better days. It was severely scratched up (my fault), and getting harder to get clean. It was so nice to get a simple replacement part which works well and is easy to clean!

Local kitchen stores have not been carrying KitchenAid accessories, so it's been a frustrating search until Amazon! My 20 year old KitchenAid continues to chug along, but the beater wears out eventually. This is a typical, well-made accessory which will be useful for years.

The weight of this beater is fantastic. I use these in my commercial kitchen and had to have one for my home KitchenAid.

Pricey but worth it
Works perfectly with my old KitchenAid stand mixer model KSM90, the kind where the bowl twists into the base and has a handle on the bowl. Had purchased a prior replacement when the white coating on the original flat beater developed chips in the finish, and then that replacement chipped as well. This beater cleans up easily and I can't imagine how it would ever chip (no coating) or fail. Very solid (and a little heavy). Have used it for many months now with no problems.

Just like the original but maybe a bit smaller/lighter
This was a "gift" for mom after I accidentally destroyed the original (someone had left glass in the kitchen aid mixing bowl). This is a great replacement paddle for a very reasonable price. It's slightly smaller and lighter than the original, but it works perfectly. I hope not to need to buy another for a long time, but if I needed to, I would buy it here. Oh, and her model is a Classic K45SS

Why Did I Wait SO Long?
This upgrade to the coated flat beater is amazing!! I wish I didn't wait SO long to source this upgrade to the one that comes with the mixer. It's sturdy and heavy and can be put through the dishwasher. What's not to love? It works perfectly with my Artisan 5 Quart Kitchenaid stand mixer. LOVE!!

it fits!
I have an older Kitchen Aid and this paddle worked well. I just had to adjust the height of the mixer to ensure the beater didn't hit the sides of the bowl. I would have given it 5 stars if I had noticed the defect on it before I used it. There is a piece of excess white coating that has created a sharp edged drip which I fear will chip off and affect the coating of the paddle. Oh well. Let's see how long this lasts. It is a great price and it fits. I'll know what to look for next time.

Fits very tight on the mixer; much more than the original and is somewhat difficult to remove. But it does the trick nicely.
