Good Product But Very Expensive

The Bachman Snap-track works as promised. It's easy to work with, and eliminates the tedious task of laying cork roadbed. The problem is it is very expensive. Manual switches start in the $50 range, compared to $15 - 20 for standard Atlas track, and $1.75 apiece bought in bulk, compared to $0.60 each for Atlas track in bulk. It's way too pricey for me to use in a large layout. I used what I bought to build a simple oval layout for my grandson. This would easily be a 5 star product if the price was within reach of the casual model railroad hobbyist on a snug budget. But the price is such that I can't justify using it. Though bare track like Atlas Code 80 is not novice user friendly, I can afford much larger layouts.
