Squeaky Shoes

I like these shoes. They fit well and are comfortable. I also liked the price. The reason I gave it four stars is because on a linoleum floors (where I work every day) they squeak loudly, like you are in a cartoon. I tried to give it time to wear off, but it never did. I tried shuffling my feet on the sidewalk for a while too, but that didn’t help either. I bought them almost 2 months ago. I think it should have gone away by now. It’s often embarrassing to walk down the hallways.

Comfort for the Deep-Shoe Crowd

I've been living in these shoes for the past 3 1/2 years, since I was diagnosed with diabetes. At the time, I bought 2 pairs, and have switched off between the two. It didn't take long to "break in" the shoe, but it took quite a bit to wear down the sole. Even then, I wore them until the top stitching started to unravel. (At 275lbs., I'm usually hard on my shoes.) Thankfully, my diabetic neuropathy has eased considerably in those years, but when I was first diagnosed, I literally couldn't walk barefoot due to the pain. The Aetrex walkers, with a couple of inserts, allowed me to walk normally and comfortably. And despite the squarish toe (when current style is "elf" shoes!), most people don't identify them as diabetic shoes. As far as THIS purchase, the price was well lower than Aetrex' own website, Amazon said 5-9 days for shipping and I got them in 2, well-packaged, in great shape, and they were comfortable immediately out of the box. So, I'll be buying 2 more pairs in the next couple of weeks. Sorry if I sound too satisfied - I'll try to grumble in my next review of something!

Extra wide just right

These are nice shoes. They are wide as advertised and suit me fine. They do squeak but that's Ok on my long walks outdoors.

Happy I found these!

I am an older woman with multiple foot problems. Every year I look for a quality oxford in brown with stability, wide width, support and room in toe box. I usually don't find these except in athletic shoes. These shoes meet every requirement! I wore them all day the first day. I am glad I took the risk and bought men's shoes. I bought one size down and they fit perfectly. If I can rustle up the cash, I will buy a pair in black also!

Comfortable shoes

I have had about 5 pair of these shoes. They are very comfortable, break-in quickly and last well. I put cleats on the heals to keep them from wearing out. The do what they are supposed to do-I have had no foot problems due to neuropathy. I wear mine all the time for work and home. My only complaint is the laces which I replace with flat ones. The issue laces don't stay in place and after several days you have one short side and one very long side. Great shoes just wish they cost less.

The size 8 was too large. I tried to call the company direct only to get an automated system. I followed the instructions on the website and hand wrote that I wanted a 7.5 size. They gave me a refund... that's wonderful, but I do not know if they didn't have a 7.5 or they didn't bother to read my request. Fast service and good shoes. I just would've rather to have the correct size Over-all very pleased if I'd gotten what I needed

I am pleased with them

They are a very comfortable pair of shoes. They fit as expected. They are not quite as supportive as I prefer as other Aetrex Apex shoes I have owned. I find the soles somewhat sticky but overall I'm quite pleased with them.
