The Best Slow Cooker

This B&D Slow Cooker offers flexibility and control with its' digital features. Its' Lid Locking wires, Rubber seal, Large Stoneware pot allows me to get ALL of my Goodness inside with no overflowing, and while cooking on High. My cooking is done with little effort while other chores around the home are also being accomplished. This lovely cooking piece automatically cooks at my exact programmable time and defaults to warm when my cooking time ends. No chance of overdoing my perfectly cooked meals! I even have the option of writing on the outside of the base with the chalk provided. This way my family knows what's for dinner without any questions. I started using my slow cooker the day it arrived. Ya'll, this is the most awesome, bomb dot com slow cooker I've ever owned!

Won’t spill my chili again!

Lit fits firmly but easily, it even hooks onto the side when dipping out food. Easily set controls. I thought the chalkboard part was a silly gimmick but have come to enjoy it. I find myself writing something every time I use it.

Well Built Slow Cooker

After the last slow cooker and poor construction, I am wowed by the sturdiness and solid build of the Black and Decker slow cooker. The legs have rubber feet and are screwed into the base. The gasket comes off the glass lid which makes it dishwasher safe. The handles on the lid are designed to hang on the handles of base while serving. No fumbling with the lid and a utensil to serve up the dish. The 7 quart size is perfect for larger meals. There is a safety switch inside the base so the unit won't turn on unless the insert is in place. The controls are straight forward and easy to use. However, the only drawback is the length of the electrical cord. It is nice some bureaucrat wants to watch out for my safety but I would rather have a cord long enough to reach the outlet on my counter since somebody decided that an outlet on the stove is unsafe.

Liked it enough I bought a second one

I liked this slow cooker enough to gift one to my mom. It works as expected and is easy to clean. The thing that really sets it apart is its appearance. So many slow cookers are silver and show every drop of water and every fingerprint. This does neither and just looks great on my counter top.

DOES NOT WORK IN THE UK

This product is completely useless to anyone who is in the UK - it has an American plug point and as such will not work based on voltage of UK plugs.

Not heating as it should

I gave this slow cooker 1 star for the cool feature that you can use chalk to write on the outside. I have used this slow cooker a 2 times now. Once to cook soup broth and a once to cook a ham. The slow cooker has not been working properly. The slow cooker took a long time to bring my soup broth to a boil. Once it was boiling, it stopped. It was just warming after that, even though the setting was on high. I slow cooked a ham for Thanksgiving. The ham was in the slow cooker for just over 8 hours and not completely cooked. during this time I had it on high for a quarter of the time, and on low the rest. This may be a faulty slow cooker that I received, but it is not working as it should for me.

J’ai fait des beans ça a pris 16 h vraiment très long pourtant des beans qui devait prendre 8 h

Poor Quality

I did not inspect the stoneware upon arrival but after the first use I noticed a small white hole in the bottom. It is where the pot rested on a pin in the kiln. This meant the pot was not sealed and water woud soak in and eventually break the stoneware. Returned it and ordered another type.

Excelente producto.

Excelente empaque, el material es de excelente calidad y es fácil de usar solo que como no se puede puede abrir hasta el final hay que sazonar bien desde el inicio, pero eso ya es cuestión del cocinero. Estoy muy satisfecha con mi compra.
