easy replacement

I took the information from the inside of the old tank and and called American Standard. They gave me the the color name. I then searched inline for a new one. The old one developed a crack over time. The new tank came with a new top and equipment. I'm using the old top because it matches the wear on the sink. Hardest part of install was getting water out of old tank. Used a sponge and ringed it out in bowl. Whole job took less than 90 minutes - unpack tank, assemble parts and pieces, turn off water, drain water, remove old tank, clean up, install new tank, turn on water, flush.

instructions are useless, no instructions for adjusting the flush valves, no support available

I had a cracked tank on my toilet, so bought this one. It is the correct tank for my dual flush toilet, but the flush valves are out of adjustment, and there are no instructions for adjusting anything. the instructions show the water level is high as installed, but the valve wont adjust. As is, it seems to waste a lot of water. the light flush only clears the tank about ever third try. usually it just lowers the bowl level about an inch, and that doesnt seem like it is working properly. The last tank had different internals, though they are similar. I considered ditching this dual flush toilet, when the tank cracked, because it really doesnt seem to save water. Especially if I have to flush twice. This tank alone cost more than a functional single flush. I feel like a fool for buying american standard.

I was a little concerned with the additional functions that there may be issues with this toilet. It has been fantastic. Sleek design and very easy to install.
