Solid lock

A solid padlock. Does what it is supposed to do. Shackle came a bit greasy out of the box, but that was easily cleaned up. After disassembling lock, there was no anti-bypass plate. It seems like a hit and a miss for the A1100 series of locks. Having an anti-bypass plate would make this lock more secure and not liable to bypass attacks. The core is a standard 6 pin American Lock core, but only pinned up with 5 pins. Serrated key pins are standard, and driver pins are a mix of serrated spools and serrated pins.

It came used right out the box

There were major signs of wear on the outer case before I even opened the lock. After I opening it once, I found some weird lubricant substance on the ends of the shackle, I don't know if its Vaseline or some type of gel but that is definitely not suppose to be in a brand new lock. The lock works fine so you have that going for it. Honestly, if you expect to buy a used lock this should be fine but it was certainly a offsetting surprise when I found out my supposedly 'brand new' lock I just bought has been used many times before even receiving it.

Mine was the exact same as the $28cad version - Great for locksport

I ordered 3 of these so far, for lock picking practice. I had ordered one of the $28 ones as well to compare, and after taking all apart they all had a mix of serrated spool pins & serrated pins (plus serrated key pins). Not sure why these are under half the price, i guess some are scratched up, but if it's for locksport I'm really happy for the deal!

Excellent lock

Highly recommend for locksporting. 5 security pins (spools & serrated pins), plus serrated drivers. The removable core allows for re-pinning. Couldnt recommend this lock enough!
