Do yourself a favor and use a wire cutter to remove those wires that are intended to give you slices of mango when all is said and done. They really just make it nearly impossible to get the fruit out without smashing it into mush. They also require you to push so hard I could see someone hurting themselves using it. The side with the serrated edge and no wires works well and is an improvement over my old knife and spoon mango technique, although with a little more wasted fruit.

Took some practice, but it works pretty well. You have to saw a little to get the pit out, and it still makes a juicy mess... but it works much better than trying to use a knife. I still wind up having to clean some of the skin off at the end, and the very bottom of the cut isn't the easiest. The one thing I'll say... it doesn't *look* terribly sharp, but still, hold the mango on a cutting board and not in your hand. It can still cut you. Doing it this way mashes the bottom of the mango a little, but it also saves money on bandaids.

Disappointed in 2 in 1 Mango Tool
This product is okay, yet there are other products from India and the Philippines that makes this product look bad. It is hard to manuever. There is a mango wedger that does a fantasic job and it works. The Amco 2 in 1 Mango Tool doesn't really do much, use a spoon and it will clean the mango up quick. One two three no more. Another way is using a strong glass, put the peel on the side and push down, mango comes out nice and clean. This product forget it. I eat mangos every day of my life and this tool doesn't cut it.

Not bad!
This works pretty well to slice your mango off the seed, but the end that segments didn't really work that well for me. I'm not sure this works better than a knife, but it's probably easier to hold and manage. The triangular side that I use has teeth on one side, so make sure you are slicing down with that side. You will find that you need to use a sawing motion for it to be effective. I think I would buy this again.

Mediocre at best. Mango pit is difficult to deal with.
tool is just ok. Since the mango pit is oddly shaped, it is difficult to slice down the fruit exactly where you get the most fruit. If the fruit is fairly ripe, the hoop can easily slice through the skin, making a bigger mess than if you had just peeled the mango.

Wish it was Bigger!
It works, just ok. I live in Hawaii & mangos are much larger here... so, I wish it was bigger!! I also wish it was sharper on the curved edge.

Buy to scoop and slice in one swipe.
Best used for scooping out mango slices. Do not buy for the cutting factor. Buy OXO Mango Slicer for that.

It is ok, but could be Better
It doesn't make the slices of mango as clean as it should, if it is a bit too ripe, I think that's why they don't come out real nice. But, I like it well enough. The OXO Mango Splitter I wanted was not available for about 2-3 weeks so I got this one.
