I'll preface this review by stating that I'm a regular gym-goer, not just for aerobic exercises like running, HIIT and Plyo but for weightlifting as well. This means that I need pants with absolute full-range of motion with no restrictions, no shifting, and no sheerness. Normally I have a collection of my favorite higher-end, tried-and-true workout pants at my disposal, but due to quarantine I've been away for two months and needed something to workout in at my current location. Now, for my review. I'd like to point out some of the things I wasn't overly thrilled with before providing my final overall review, so bear with me: First off, I noticed immediately after opening that the fabric, while not overly thin, was thinner than I had hoped. A try-on test confirmed my fears: the fabric was ever so slightly sheer around my bottom. I will follow this up with, yes, I did order the correct size, and the pants fit just fine with no overstretching. Perhaps with nude or sheer panties the issue would resolve itself, but I have none at my disposal to test with. Regardless, the sheerness wasn't blaringly obvious, but I wouldn't do squats in these. Secondly, the fabric itself wasn't very soft, and actually itched slightly the first time I wore and sweat in them. I chalked this up to maybe first-time-wear and was sure to add extra fabric softener the next time I washed them. They didn't itch the second time, but they still have this coarse feeling when I run my hands over them. Definitely not comparable to Gymshark or my Victoria's Secret leggings, but at around a third of the price, I can agree that's to be expected. I also don't dry my workout pants as a rule, so drying them may make them softer, at the expense of reducing their wearable life. Thirdly, after three washes I noticed some of the stitching, while done fairly cleanly, had started to pull. I snipped the threads and plan on keeping an eye on the seam, but this is a minor issue in my book so long as it doesn't get any worse. Also note these are NOT compression pants, so if you expect them to give you a tummy tuck or make your butt look good, look elsewhere. I think the comfort of the pants does redeem them a bit, but my other workout pants look much more flattering in the mirror. Now, for the overall review: These don't hold a candle to a pair of $50-$100 leggings, and they're not meant to. For a budget workout pant under $20, Amazon actually did a very good job with this product. The color choices are nice, and the fabric has a good stretch to it. While slightly sheer, the fabric and stitching does allow for full range of motion, so I don't feel overly restricted with my movements. They're also light enough that sweat really isn't a problem, and when I did sweat, I hardly noticed it. It's too early to say whether or not the elastic will wear out rapidly, but they feel somewhat like Walmart or Target-brand workout gear, and I haven't had good luck with those lasting very long. I'd say these pants are great for lounging around the house, going for a walk outside, or perhaps a very light workout routine, but I would get something a little heavier and more durable if you're a heavy gym-goer like myself.
