Great buy! Cheaper than buying multiple dumbbells.
I've recently started working out again, but have decided to save money and skip the gym (and its germs) by exercising at home. I've been eyeing the Tempo weight set, but don't have the budget to splurge on that yet. This Amazon basics dupe is a great space-saving alternative that's a fraction of the price of similar products. Sure, it doesn't come with form-correcting sensors as Tempo does, but I can just use my mirror, haha. I also love that it's metal, unlike other adjustable weights that are made of plastic. My only gripe is that the carrying case arrived pretty dinged up/bent, however, it still is able to close properly. To complete my weight kit, I purchased a Kettle Gryp to transform these weights into kettlebells. Fingers crossed they fit!

Great! Adjustable
I've just received it and it is awesome! It is adjustable, fits 1 inch weight plates so it is easy to add weight - I added my own weight plates and it works great. The set includes 5 and 2.5 lb plates so there is room for adjustments. I highly recommend.

Fine set
Good set for starters. I got these to cheaply supplement my current setup. You will want to get workout gloves or grip tape because the bare handles will shred your hands. Also - I wouldn't trust the case to hold a box of tissues let alone the weights. The latches are just molded plastic and mine won't catch and lock even out of the box. Please be careful when carrying.

Cracked Case, but very impressed by quality and affordability, GREAT DUMBBELL SET FOR BEGINNERS
Like other have mentioned, the case is plastic and most deliverymen will more than likely crack the case when attempting to deliver this product. That being said, I am very impressed by this set. Because the set includes 2.5 lb to 5 lb plates, it's great for beginners to work their way up from basic form to strength building. The case itself also fits under a standard bedframe, which is an additional plus. HOWEVER - This is NOT a barbell set, does not come with a connector, and I HIGHLY recommend buying an actual 1-inch diameter barbell rather than purchasing a connector. The connector will likely mess up your form when doing bench presses.

Simple Adjustable Lifting Dumbbells
It is overall a good, versatile, and affordable set. The combination is more than enough for me, so I'm happy with it. One star is subtracted because of the metal finishing. As many reviews already mentioned, there are small metal chips around the metal bar that need to be cleaned to avoid cutting your fingers. I also recommend to use a pair of gloves for protection.

The grip shreds skin
I disliked the grip, but i got used to it by wearing gloves. I like the easiness of putting the weights together and the box is very helpful!

Thrilled with these weights!
I can’t believe what a bargain these dumbbells are! I’ve been searching for a pair of decent dumbbells for some time now, and most are so expensive. I saw these were not only a good deal, they’re also solid metal, not cheap plastic. They came in a sturdy plastic carrying case, are easy to assemble and disassemble. They feel solid when the weights are attached to the bar and are built to last. I started using them the day they arrived and I am getting stronger every day. Great value, great product.

PERFECT in Quality & Finish, PERFECT in Price?
Brilliant set of Dumb bells ???? if they can be called that! Noiseless due to heavy duty rubber washers on both the handles as well as the tightening spinners. High quality chrome and excellent knurling on the handles. Threading is very deep and precision done. Zero slip when spinners are tightened. The weights have a non-slip baked enamel type sturdy coating which is much better than just chrome. Carry case is sturdy too. Price under 4K is a steal.

Good set of dumbbells. Go for it.
The dumbbells come in a neat box for storage. All parts are metallic and fit perfectly . 2 rods, 2.5 and 5 pound weights and end screws. So there is no possibility of breakage with fall. Instead of buying different weight dumbbells, this is a great option. Only issue is it takes a few minutes to change and screw on different weights.
