Pricing per size is different. Why?

I ordered a size 4 in this dress but it was big in the waist so i exchanged for a size 2, which fit better, but it cost $50.00 more than than the larger size. I would think a smaller size would use less material therefore costing less to make. Is this an error? why would different sizes be priced differently?

Beading was missing on front of dress

I liked the dress and the fit was good but the beading in the front was missing in a small area at waist- very noticeable
