Perfect for water meter installations
I am installing a residential water meter to monitor water usage on my water filtration system. I did not know that some water meters use an odd connection fitting not available in big box stores or even plumbing supplies. The local plumbing supply had never seen this fitting. This fitting from Amazon worked perfectly. I used to own rentals and had to do a lot of plumbing repairs. I am not a plumber by trade. Any part made by Sharkbite was pricey but top quality. These fittings are the same. Buy quality and you only have to do the job once. If you ever have to install a water meter, try to buy one that includes the connection fittings :-)

Best Solution for Softener and/or Iron Filter With PEX
These fittings made hard piping my Water softener (Whirlpool) and Iron Filter (Iron Eater) very easy and let me keep the clean look PEX is famous for. I was previously using 4 flexible pipes, which honestly worked fine and probably flowed better, but this set up gave me considerably more room in my tight water closet and hasn't had any issues keeping up with demand flow-wise. I now fit the iron filter, softener, 40 gallon pressure tank and 50 gallon water heater with plenty of space to access everything. Yes, the fittings have gaskets, I did not oil them nor did I use pipe dope or teflon tape (you really shouldn't with a gasketed fitting) and I had zero leaks first try. My only concern is removing them when its time to replace one of the components or if I need to move them for any reason, not a ton of space between the hex piece and the crimp, but being totally reusable really not a huge deal if I have to crimp a new pipe in later... well worth the convenience and clean installation they provide. If you run a 3/4" water system and you want a clean, hard-piped look in your filtration setup, these are absolutely the best option. P.S. Yes, the water softener is connected backwards, I fixed it since this photo. Yes, it was fine, barely ran it before realizing my mistake. Did this project when I was a little too tired.

Fits AO Smith water softener from Lowe’s
I looked all over and could not find a 1” to 3/4” connector for Pex to connect to my new water softener. This works perfectly, has a rubber seal so no need for Teflon tape. Fit perfectly on the AOSmith water softeners Lowe’s sells.

Great fitting for water softner
I had to purchase A new water softener. I bought some fittings but they continued to drip. I started looking and ran across these fittings. So I ordered 2 of them. I wish I would have reacherched them because the are GREAT. If you have a water softener DO NOT HESAITATE TO BUY THESE. I know I looked at reviews and they don't show the detail of the fitting. Here I show you so that you know it does Have A rubber gasket in them. I put them on the water softener and they DO NOT LEAK. Now these were not available in the big box stores.

Perfect for Water Softeners
After fighting leaks with my softener for months using parts available at local plumbing shops and big box stores, these do the job perfectly (and at lower cost). They are a perfect replacement for the old quest/qest fittings on my Kinetico softener and service bypass valve, and with the included tapered gasket do so without requiring any thread sealant such as Teflon tape or pipe dope. If you are hooking up a softener or bypass valve that has 1" threads and you have PEX plumbing, these are definitely the fittings you want.

Excellent coupler.
I am looking for a coupler like this for a long time, then I found this on Amazon. I use it to connect the water softener, it is compatible with the Whirlpool and. GE brand. They both have the same water valve adaptor unit. The thing I like it this coupler inside has a rubber gasket to prevent leaks. It works perfectly without needing any pipe teflon tape. Just tighten it and work. Perfect products. Highly recommend.

Convert with minimal connections
I bought a PhynPlus Smart Water Assistant + Shutoff valve for my home. It installs right after the water supply enters the house, on a 3/4" PEX line. The PhynPlus has 2x 1" NPTS fittings. So, this SharkBite fitting just screws onto the PhynPlus and then the 3/4" PEX line attaches to the push-on side. I needed 2, so it was not that cheap, but the installation was simple, and only required one added fitting at each end of the PhynPlus.
