Full disclosure, I did return these but only so I could snag a different color from a local shop. These are **THE ONLY** knee pads to fit fat folx. I tried other brands and they just didn't cut it. These have a stretchy sleeve across the back of the knee/inside of the elbow, plus elastic straps for security. I played softball for decades and developed some massive calves from it. I tried 3 other sets of pads that said they'd fit my knee measurements and couldn't get any of them over my calf. These are fine going over my calves and still feel secure around my knees. The Velcro on the elastics does get a bit pinchy/scratchy if you're not wearing pants/long sleeves. For me, the wrist guards are too big but they still stay on securely. The upper part of the elbow pads sleeve is a little more squishy than I'd like but it's the best fit by far compared to any others I tried. The colors are vibrant and fun - perfect for roller skating! The plastic shells on the knee pads are really, really bulky. I feel like I'm not supposed to straighten by knees behind them. Mostly though, I'd just like them to look more like regular slimline skate pads. Overall, I'm super happy with this set. If you're a bigger skater, definitely give these a go! I will also encourage Moxie to expand the size range, expand the variety offered in Thick Set, and to slim down the shells :)

Saved my knees!!

Totally worth the price. I fell down super hard twice today. Didn't feel a thing. The knee pads are worth every penny! They are easy to put on and feel great. I think I would have been in so much pain with a different set of safety pads. These are so worth it!!!

Slightly annoyed but overall satisfied

EDIT: I had to send them back and get a replacement and the replacements fit! They work amazingly! One of the wrist pads was significantly smaller than the other one (2inches smaller) and doesn’t fit at all. Other than that everything else fits! I’m currently trying to get in contact with the company about exchanging just the one piece.

Review

I like the knee pads with this set but the wrist guards are not a great fit. They don't feel very secure on my wrists. If I took a fall, I feel like it would just slide up my palm. I also wish there were some solid black ones instead of the bright colors.

Fits great!

I wasn't sure about ordering them but they fit great. They do roll down a bit on the back but I also have pretty chunky legs. Feels like I should keep my knees bent while wearing them but I also haven't skated in many years so I probably just need to get used to it.
